Hell.
That's all I've been through. I was pulled out of school after Princess Zama demanded that we get married as soon as possible. I don't know how the hell she thought that that would work for us. I haven't seen Yandisokuhle since that day at school in Mr. Smith's classroom. I have missed her more than I thought could be possible. Now, now I know that she is the air that I breath and right now I am suffocating.
Someone leaked the news of her pregnancy last night, right when I had planned to meet with her in secret to see how she's doing and explain all of this to her. I want to come clean to her and make her understand, maybe when she does, she will see that I was forced into this tough situation, I didn't end up here willingly. If only I could see her for just a few minutes.
"Crowned Prince Ntandoyezulu, your presence is requested." I am back in Umhlaba. I don't want to be here. "I will be out in 5 minutes." I twiddle the silver band on my ring finger before getting up. I turn my phone on one last time before placing it safely in the drawer I keep locked nd I grab my new phone that Zamambo gave me as a wedding gift.
I take a deep breath before walking out, only to be met with Zamambo. "My Love." She bows down to me before placing her hand in mine. The paparazzi are in the boardroom. I know what they want and I know what is expected of me. "Are you okay Anande?" I stop in my tracks, "I told you not to call me that." She looks hurt but I could care less.
"But I am your wife and you haven't told me why you do not wish for me to call you by your second name, my king." I can't help but roll my eyes. "You trapped me in this marriage Zamabo. I don't love you and I never will. Get that through that thick skull of yours. You're wasting my time. Iza. (Come on.)" I didn't mean to tug too hard but she ends up tripping and I quickly catch her.
Her handmaid comes to help her but she dismisses the poor girl. I feel bad for her. Zamambo is insufferable and I don't spend that much time with her yet I feel exhausted by her already. We get to the boardroom and its flashes and clicks before we are escorted to the much more private and smaller meeting room. "Nkosana Ntandoyezulu you know what to do, right?" Mama is looking at me with that stern look in her eyes.
"Ewe Kumkanikazi." She nods, "Good." We go back to the larger room and it's now quieter. "Please stand to greet the royal Majola family." One of the announcers speak out loud and everyone stands in unison. "You all may be seated." Tata speaks as soon as he gets to his throne. "You may begin your questions." The room is aloud with question after question.
"One at a time." The noise lessens. "Prince Ntando, is it true that the child that Yandisokuhle Mthethwa is carrying is yours?" I laugh to ease my nerve, "Now why would you think that?" They look at each other, "Well, Your Highness, because you and the heiress were seen on multiple occassions together and you seemed very close." I smile, just like I was taught.
"That is what it seemed like but the truth is that Yanisokuhle and I were just friends and we still are just friends. I didn't know that she was pregnant. I haven't been in Gauteng in a long time, what with my coronation and everything else that's happened." They are quiet for a while.
"So you're saying that the allegations against you with regards to Miss Mthethwa are all nothing but lies?" I nod, "yes. Next question please." Someone raises their hand. "Yes, sir?"

After 3 hours of back to back questions, then media was dismissed and I could finally go back to my room. This tie was suffocating me. The walls felt like they were closing in on me. "Prince Ntandoyezulu! Somebody help!" I felt warm hands on my face and for a moment, I saw Yandisokuhle, then it was lights out.
When I unfortunately woke up, I was in bed and someone was sleeping besides me. When I turned to see who it is, I immediately felt disgust. "Vuka, vuka man. Ufuna ntoni apha? (Wake up, wake up man. What the hell are you doing here?)" She stirred before waking up. "Oh my king, you're awake." She yawned.
"What the hell are you doing in my bed?" She got off and stood to the side, looking nervous and awkward. "You had a panic attack and fainted then your mother suggested that I say besides you just in case you need something."
"What I need is for you to leave me the hell alone." I turned to face the opposite direction. It must've been five minutes before I heard her walking towards the door and leaving. I got up to my drawer and unlocked it, picking my phone up, I opened it and it's like my heart smiled. Yandisokuhle was my lock screen wallpaper, the photo was taken from the day of the teenage/single mother's organization launch.
As much as I'd have liked to keep my phone with me and look through my gallery full of her pictures, I know it's a risk I can't take. This is the only thing I have of her that no one can take from me. And with that thought, I went back to sleep.

Yandisokuhle
I can't stop watching this video ka Ntando. He looks so good in his royal attire but that girl sitting besides him makes him look so hideous it hurts my heart. I thought I'd gotten over him after he ghosted me and I had to go through Justin to find out that he'd gotten married. Yeah, it still hurts to think about it but I've no choice.
I can't go marching to the royal family, belly out and all and demand that Ntando get rid of his wife to come take care of his child. I don't want him anymore, I've lost all interest in him but I feel like this baby needs to know who his/her father is. It's a nagging feeling that I've got in the pit of my stomach and no, it's not heartburn.
After that day when I found out about his now wife, I had a major panic attack that led to a near miscarriage and my parents pushed for me to stop going to school but I pushed to finish my last four months at school physically, I mean just August, September, October and November. By then I was already 5 months but I didn't look pregnant, just chubby.
Which was suspicious for a grade 11 learner doing the subjects that I'm doing but a win is a win, right. Now, its the week of the 16th of December and somebody leaked pictures of me in my swimsuit at the private beach where we went for holiday. As soon as the news got out, we had to come back home so that my family can do a press control and such.
Now, I find out that not only did Ntando completely lie about us but he says he didn't know of my pregnancy? Yeer! Uphika ingane yakhe 9/9! Damn him! (Jeez! He is denying his child on live TV!) "Yandisokuhle, they are ready for you." Bhut'Ntsika helped me get out of my seat.
MaZulu had me dressed in a light pink umbrella dress and my dino slippers. I tied my hair into two space buns with dark pink scrunchies. Somehow, I had fallen in love with the color pink and that made me question my taste in everything. Almost all my taste had shifted and it made eating a whole lot challenging.
I followed behind Ntsika who led me to the quiet room where the interview was going to be held at. "Afternoon." I greet the people and in turn, they greet me back. "We can get started now." MaZulu and Baba come to sit on either side of me as the cameras start rolling. "Hi everyone, today we are here with the business tycoon, Mr. Mhlengiwezwe Mthethwa, his wife and our very own home bred BESTSELLER author, Mrs. Nandipha Zulu Mthethwa and their only daughter and heiress to the Mthethwa fortune, Miss Yandisokuhle Mthethwa."
"Mr. and Mrs. Mthethwa, I'm sure you know why we are here today and the public would like to know a few things that they think are important for them to learn." Pearl Modiadia was the interviewer today and she didn't beat around the bush. "Yes, firstly, we would like to address what everyone has been thinking about and wanting confirmation on. Yandisokuhle is pregnant but for the purpose of her safety, we will not share how far along she is. "Baba answered honestly and I was taken aback.
"Well...now that we have that cleared out. Would you mind telling us how that happened?" She inched forward in her chair, showing her interest. "Well, it's quite a funny story..." MaZulu began, "I wanted to do something nice for a close family friend whom we unfortunately lost along the way. I asked my parents before hand of course and we went through all the necessary procedures to get me her eggs fertilized and inserted in me via In Vitro but we lost her along the way so we took a decision as a family to raise her child as mine."
