I am now left with two weeks before my due date. I haven't seen much of Muzi since our encounter the other day. Ntando on the other hand, sent his uncles to my family and he paid for the damages for taking my virginity but not for impregnating me. I don't know what kind of bullshit that is but his family refuses to acknowledge my baby as their blood. Their excuse is that they are waiting to do DNA tests which is ridiculous since they paid for taking my virginity.
Ntando bought the baby some clothes and he's been visiting me. When he's here, I try not to focus on the wedding band on his finger but the time we have together. We don't do much, he just talks to the baby and holds me while I sleep. He's tried to initiate more between us but I always refuse. I don't want to be used anymore and this is purely for our child.
His wife managed to get my numbers and she's been texting me, talking about how she can't wait for the baby to come so that she can bond with her. Bond se voet! I ignore all her texts but lately, they've become more frequent and it's annoying. I don't want to block her number because then she'll think I feel guilty for something but there's nothing to feel guilty about! Or so I thought.
It's Tuesday and I woke up feeling sick so I've been in bed from the morning. It's almost 2 pm and Ntando will be coming at 2. I wanted to cancel but had no energy for that. I hear the main door opening and sigh dejectedly. He's here. "Yandi...Yandi.." I hear him calling my name but nothing in me want's to respond. I wait for him to knock on the door before I let out a loud "Hmmm" The door opens and he comes in. I don't bother turning around. He comes around to face me.
"Hi." He smiles and I smile back. I can at least be nice to the guy for my own sake. "How are you?" I sigh and close my eyes. "All day sickness. Turns out it doesn't end in the first trimester." He kisses my forehead and I sigh. "Ntando-"
"I'll get you some ginger. Listen, Zama insisted on coming, she's downstairs right now. I tried to convince her to stay at home but she insisted." Bhod ke sana! "It's fine. I'll be down in a minute. I don't want you people in my bedroom." He looks hurt but I don't pay attention to that. I don't have to tend to his wounds, he has a wife for that. "Help me up please." He does so and then leaves. I wear my tights since I'd been sleeping in a large t-shirt.
I don't bother with fixing myself since I'll be in the house. I leave my room, making sure to lock it, I know Bhut'Ntsika locks his door everyday as well. Since Ntando started coming over, I told my brother to lock his door. It's better to be safe than sorry. I walk down the stairs and the royal wife is wearing a two piece suit like outfit with a flower hat on her head. The heels she wore were two inches long and I had to hold my laugh in.
All in all, she looked like those old church ladies who judge everyone for even breathing. "Sanibona." I greet her, walking to the kitchen to grab some ginger cookies because I feel nauseated. "Hi Yandisokuhle." She follows me to the kitchen and stands idling there while I work on making black rooibos tea.. "Would you like a cup?"
"Oh no thanks. I'm full." I nod and finish making my tea. I walk to the living room and set the tray on the coffee table. I get back to the kitchen and make a snack platter. "Here, I'll help you." Ntando comes over to grab the large platter. I get the chance to look at his outfit and he is dressed down, wearing a white vest with a black and white checkered shirt and dark washed jeans with white Jordan's.
"Please stop undressing my husband with your eyes." My eyes travel back to her. "Excuse me?" She sighs and rolls her eyes. "You heard me. He's mine now and I'd like it if you respected our relationship." I freeze for a moment and talk what she said in. "Are you serious?" She nods her head yes. "No, like seriously. Are you serious right now? I don't care that he's yours. I don't want him. Have him sis-"
