Chapter 18 - Confession

Chie Pov:

"Racheeeeel, ano panalo ba?" There said while hugging Rachel.

"You guess."

Kanina pa pala sila ganyan, ako na naman ang na-left out. Rachel got home yesterday with Lolo; nilaban pala siya for archery. Of course, Lolo is so proud of his daughter again.

"Of course, panalo 'yan, ikaw pa ba." Rachel just smiled at her, and we all knew what that meant.

"Whaaaa, we're so proud of you!"

"Congrats, Chel!" Without wasting time, we hugged Rachel and kissed her face.

"Ano ba kayong dalawa, get off me," pangtataboy niya sa amin. As hardheaded as we were, we didn't listen to her and hugged her tighter.

"Ito naman, namiss ka kaya namin."

"Oo nga, wag ka na maarte, minsan lang 'to," pangsasabaw ko.

Lumayo na kami ni Theresa at nagbabadyang magsalita ulit si Chel. Hindi ko alam bakit nandito kasi tong si Theresa, feel-at-home ang ate mo.

"What are you two doing here? Well, I mean you, Theresa?" Rachel shifted the topic real quick.

"Ininvite ako ni Chie." Pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata, and now we are talking using our eyes.

"JUST SAY YES!"

"Yes, may gagawin kaming project but then we saw you." She doesn't look convinced! I'm gonna kill you, Theresa.

"Ah, okay... bakit hindi niyo kasama si Mia?"

"Uhm, kasi may sakit siya," pagdadahilan ni Theresa, but Chel is looking at us more suspiciously.

"We'll celebrate later, get dressed," she said, leaving us dumbfounded.

Nilingon ko si Theresa at nag-peace sign sa akin.

"Walangya ka, ipapahamak mo pa ako ha. Tara dito, Theresita!!!"

Theresa and I hurried to get ready, the excitement bubbling up inside us. We were still buzzing from Rachel's victory, and a celebration was definitely in order.

As we headed downstairs, we couldn't help but wonder what kind of celebration Rachel had in mind. She wasn’t the type to plan anything too extravagant, but she always had a knack for making things special.

When we reached the living room, we found Rachel setting up some snacks and drinks on the table. Lolo was there too, sobrang proud na proud ang lolo.

"Hi, everyone!" bunganga talaga parang si Anne Curtis

"So noisy, theresa." Rachel said, a twinkle in her eye.

"Tama, dapat sa babaeng to pinapablatter e, " I replied, giving her a hug.

"Antayin mo si mia, ikaw naman pagtutulungan namin." She said while laughing, nasampal ko tuloy siya.

"Speaking of the devil, nasa pinto na nga siya. But I didn't expect to see Zara, lalo na may galit ata si Mama dito. Future daughter-in-law mo yan, Ma!

"Hello, people! Late na ba kami?" Lumapit na sila sa amin at binaba ang dala-dalang pagkain. Mia is holding a cake while Zara has a pizza.

"Buti walang kasamang kalbo si Zara ngayon, safe ka tol."

"Manahimik ka dyan, gusto mo makalbo."

Sinalubong namin sila at tinulungan. Zara looks so tired kaya tinabihan ko siya at inalalayan.

"You look so tired, what happened?" I asked while tapping her.

"Pagod lang 'to, no need to worry."

I'm now in my room kasama si Zara. Hindi na siya pinauwi dahil sobrang pale niya. Mama Imelda insisted na dito muna siya magpalipas ng gabi.
