ADITYA POV
" Oh, so your girlfriend also loves this chocolate. That's nice," she said, her voice flat and her face devoid of any emotion, as if the statement held no significance for her."
I knew she was still confused about many things that had happened in my life. I wanted to explain everything to her, to clear up any misunderstandings, but she never gave me the chance. Every time I tried to bring it up, she either changed the subject or simply walked away, leaving my words unspoken and my intentions misunderstood.
"No, she is not my girlfriend," I said plainly, trying to keep my tone neutral and straightforward.
"You don't need to lie. You can share it with me. After all, I was your friend before being your ex." Her words cut deep. How could she reduce our relationship to just that? She was my everything, and hearing her call herself 'just my ex' felt like a knife twisting in my heart. She meant the world to me; she could never be just nothing.
"Avni is a 3-year-old girl, she is-" Before I could say anything further, she cut me off mid-sentence.
One thing that grates on my nerves like nothing else is when someone rudely interrupts me mid-sentence. In this vast world, there's rarely anyone bold enough to interject while I speak, except for this one exception - the one person who manages to drive me crazy while simultaneously holding my heart: my girl. It's infuriating and endearing all at once, a paradox that only adds to the complexity of our relationship.
"Mujhe nahi sunna hai, bola na," she interjected sharply, her voice laced with impatience. "Aur jhoot mat bolo ki wo 3 saal ki hai. Jitna mujhe pata hai, tumhari koi behen nahi hai, aur ab ye kahan se aa gayi?" She continued, her words slicing through the air as she finished the last morsel of her chocolate, her disbelief palpable in the way she narrowed her eyes.
This girl is seriously hooked on chocolate; she chomped down five bars in, like, no time at all! I can practically see her future self stressing about putting on weight. So, I thought ahead and snagged some sugar-free chocolates for her, you know, to satisfy her cravings without the guilt trip.
"Don't worry, I'll introduce you to her, and then you can see for yourself," I reassured her gently. Right now, I don't want to engage in an argument. She was already hurting, and I didn't want to make things any harder for her by bringing up our past. It was important to handle the situation delicately and with compassion.
"Okay, thike ab mujhe Sona hai par," she said with a hint of adorableness, her exhaustion evident as she gently rubbed her eyes, signalling her need for rest.
"Alright, you go ahead and get some rest. I'll take my leave now. Make sure to use this heater for your cramps; it should help ease the discomfort. And remember, if there's anything you need, don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm just a message away."
"Nahi, mujhe kuch nahi chahiye, par tum ja rahe ho ab?" she inquired, a hint of reluctance in her voice, as she observed me slipping on my shoes, perhaps not quite ready for me to leave just yet.
It caught me completely off guard. First, she seemed reluctant for me to come over, and now she's trying to stop me from leaving? The sudden change in her demeanour left me bewildered and wondering what was really going on.
"Do you want me to stay?" I asked, my eyes slowly trailing from her head down to her toes, taking in her appearance. She was dressed in a cute nightwear set, the crop top teasingly revealing her waist, while the snug booty shorts hugged her curves, offering an enticing view of her thighs. Her demeanour seemed to suggest a mix of uncertainty and longing, as if she couldn't decide whether she wanted me to leave or stay a little longer.
