“But tonight, you are mine,” I whispered, my lips brushing softly against her forehead, the warmth of the moment sinking in as I held her close.

Akriti smiled, her eyes lighting up with that familiar sparkle I loved. “Let’s sleep, Adi. Tomorrow we have to go to your house and do the rituals,” she said, stretching lazily as she got up from the bed and made her way to the wardrobe.

I followed her, curiosity piqued. “Are we going to do the same ritual there? The ring-finding one?” I asked, my brow furrowing slightly. It seemed odd to repeat it.

She glanced over her shoulder, pulling out her nightwear. “Yes, we have to do it at both houses,” she replied, her tone casual, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

I couldn't resist stepping closer, slipping my arms around her waist from behind. She leaned back into me, her body instantly relaxing. It was these little moments, the way she trusted me completely, that made my heart swell. “So, you won here,” I murmured, nuzzling her neck. “Tomorrow, I’m winning at my home. Gotta keep my pride intact, you know?”

She giggled, turning her head to give me a playful look. “Let’s see who wins. I can’t help you with that,” she teased, trying to wriggle free from my hold.

I tightened my grip, pressing her closer. “Where are you going?” I asked, a playful edge in my voice.

Turning fully, she wrapped her arms around my neck, her fingers interlocking at the back. “I need to change. I can’t sleep in this,” she said, her tone soft yet firm.

I leaned in, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “Alright,” I conceded, then added with a mischievous grin, “but you have to wear that white crop top and black shorts. You know, the ones you wore the first time I climbed the wall to meet you. You looked so cute in that outfit.”

Her cheeks turned a lovely shade of pink, and she bit her lower lip, the memory making her smile. “But we can’t do anything here,” she whispered, her voice low and teasing.

Feigning innocence, I asked, “What do you mean by ‘anything’?”

She rolled her eyes, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. “No hanky-panky,” she clarified, grabbing her clothes and darting towards the bathroom.

“Too fast,” I muttered, watching her disappear behind the door. With a sigh, I fell back onto the bed, hugging her pillow tightly. It smelled of her—floral, sweet, and distinctly Akriti. It was comforting, grounding me in the moment.

I must have dozed off because the next thing I knew, Akriti was gently shaking me awake. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to fall asleep,” I murmured, blinking the sleep from my eyes.

“It’s okay, Adi. Let’s sleep. I’m tired too,” she said, slipping into bed beside me.

I immediately pulled her into my arms, her warmth soothing. “Are you okay? Still sore?” I asked softly, concerned for her.

“A little bit,” she admitted, her voice muffled as she nestled into my neck. “It feels new… like I can still feel you there.”

I stroked her back, a mix of guilt and affection coursing through me. “I didn’t realize it was that good,” I joked lightly, trying to ease the tension. “If you want, I can apply some ointment. It’ll help.”
