Deal

I woke up feeling light-hearted. I'm still in bed but still in uniform. I suddenly remembered what happened last night. I was with Sergo and I fell asleep on his lap. I suddenly felt drowsy as he gently played with my fingers.

And perhaps due to exhaustion from the whole day, I fell asleep in a simple act of lying on his lap.

I quickly sat up as I remembered what he said last night. I'm going to his house today to make the bracelet together. There's no class anyway, so it's fine. I'll also do my school works there.

I feel like I'm only now getting excited about the days to come. I always feel so happy. All my genuine feelings, I only felt them here, only when I met Sergo.

I feel like a fool while eating because I'm smiling to myself. I can't believe he's actually courting me. So he's not straight either, huh?

No matter how handsome and fit he is, he'll still fall for me.

And the thought that eventually, I'll say yes to him feels unreal. He'll be my boyfriend. And he'll be with me in the days to come while I'm here.

Finally... I have someone with me. I'm not alone anymore.

I just don't know when to say yes to him. Should I do it on his birthday? Tangina. Kakaligaw nga lang sa akin tapos sasagutin ko na agad? Hindi naman halata na mas gusto ko siya.

"Isama na lang kaya kita?" sabi ko kay Sweet dahil nang isarado ko ang pintuan ng bahay ay nakatanaw siya sa akin, ngumingiyaw.

I had my school works with me, so I couldn't carry her. Sweet has grown quite big compared to when I first got her from Sergo. Sometimes, I worry that she might run away and look for a male cat.

Kaya minsan ay kinukulong ko na lang siya kapag aalis ako. Pero ngayon ay nakatingin siya sa akin, parang gustong sumama.

As I continued to look at her, she meowed. If I were to take her with me without carrying her, baka sa ibang daan siya pumunta at maligaw pa!

Nang may maisip, bumalik ako sa loob. Kinuha ko ang tali na nasa higaan ko at dinala palabas. Naroon pa rin si Sweet, nakatingin sa akin. Miski lumapit ako sa kanya na may dalang tali, hindi siya lumayo.

Tatalian ko na lang siya. Puwede naman yata 'yon. Pusang may tali.

Ayaw kong pansinin ang pag babago ng itsura ni Sweet habang tinatalian ko siya. Na nanatiling kunot ang aking noo. After finishing, I stood up and grabbed my things.

Lumabas ako sa bahay, higit-higit si Sweet.

"Tara na!" sigaw ko nang hindi siya nag lakad.

Isang beses siyang humiyaw pero nag lakad din naman. Hindi na ako dumaan sa rancho at dumiretso na kung saan ang daan papuntang bahay ni Sergo.

Halos masakal na nga si Sweet dahil sa matataas na damo. Nasasabit siya roon at hindi makasunod sa akin. Sabing huwag nang sumama! Ayan, mag tiis siya.

Hila-hila ko siya nang makarating ako sa tapat ng bahay ni Sergo.

"Pusang nakatali?!"

In my surprise, I looked behind me. I saw Kate there, her eyes wide as she looked at the kitten. Anong ginagawa nito rito?! Sana hindi na lang ako pumunta!

With an annoyed look, I stared at her. She had a bag with her, and I didn't know what was inside. She was dressed up, and it seemed like she really meant to be there.

And we even arrived at the same time, huh?

Gagawa kami ng bracelet kasama 'to? Baka manghingi pa at gumawa rin ng kanya? Hindi ko siya bibigyan!
