Seeing Elliot all grown up had left somewhat of a sour sensation in Y/N's stomach that had reminded her of just how long she had been stranded alone in the past. His tall, awkward stance and tattered blazer jutted the lost memory she had of Mortimer Gussman, the first face she saw after that unfortunate catapult.Elliott was sweating nervously, emitting a hint of a nasty odor as he continued to pull at his collar, his blue eyes flickering back and forth over his shoulder in paranoia. Five Hargreeves' piercing stare was barely visible over the green hedge while he kept a watchful eye on the pair in the courtyard.
Usually he praised his overconfidence and boldness when it came to getting things done, but he had the unusual urge to test the waters just in the rare case scenario that those waters happened to boil over him (this trail of thoughts was just a coping method for Five's hesitance, because he likes to overcomplicate things at his own inconvenience).
Y/N noticed Elliot's nervous glances and she frowned, curiously craning her neck over her shoulder to see what he was looking at. Five, from behind the hedge, ducked to avoid her line of sight.
"So, you mentioned anomiles?" Y/N drew out slowly, crossing her arms as her suspicion dimmed.
Elliot's eyes widened, and he seemed to realize that she was talking to him in that instance before nodding, wiping his brow. "Yes--uh, five of them to be exact."
Y/N let out a breath of air at his words, running a slow hand over her mouth as she processed it. Five anomalies, five of the Umbrellas. She was no longer alone. The girl now understood that she was the first of them to arrive. The question now remained, what the hell stopped any of them from looking for her?
"When...was the first one?"
"About three years ago," Elliot answered, calming down. "Same way you and that fella with the breifcase came. Right behind Morty's. Quite the odd looking fella. Seemed a little out of it, if ya know what I mean."
"Klaus," Y/N deadpanned, knowing her brother all too well. "And the most recent?"
"This morning," he said slowly, biting his lip as he deepened his slouch. "He's...hiding behind that hedge."
"Luther?" she inquired. "Diego? Who's stupid enough to hide instead of--oh."
Five had appeared beside Elliot, prompting the man to let out a high pitched scream in response to not being used to the pop of the spatial jump. Y/N lips parted, and for a second, she couldn't bring herself to speak at the familiarity of his presence. She hadn't seen her family in 20 years. Even though it was Five, it was comforting. She didn't know whether to uppercut him for his fault of sending her back into the 40s, or to just pull him into a big, fat, and vastly uncharacteristic hug to wear off the longing for a recognizable face.
Instead, she went for something a little more unorthodox.
"Y/N--where are you going?" Five called, stuttering to find words as she turned on her heel and began to walk away. "Hello? Get--fuck."
Elliot watched, slightly dazed, but a sharp jab in the side from Five brought him right back to reality. "Ouch!"
"Why did you tell her I was in—you know what? Never mind ," Five seethed, "I think I'll settle for much more than a probe with you when I'm done here."
With that, the boy began to jog after Y/N, leaving a mortified Elliot in his wake.
"I knew they were aliens!"

"Hey! Can you stop," Five called out, his stare locked onto the retreating figure of the girl in front of him in desperation. "We need to talk."
