Aegon laughs with his friends as they walk into the throne room where the Iron Throne sits at the far end of the hall.

The small group walks towards it as they drink from the goblets they hold in their hands that are refilled by the jug that one of them is carrying.

When they reach the steps of the Iron Throne Aegon skips up them and lays onto the throne without a care with makes others pause while they glance at each other nervously.

"What is it?" Aegon questions confused as he looks out at them with a frown as they look at each other.

"Only the King is suppose to sit the Throne," one lord voices as he looks up at the Heir who looks him over with a raised brow.

"And I am the Heir," Aegon replies "Who has sat the throne before, now is no different."

After a pause the Heir's companions sit on the steps of the Iron Throne in the spaces clear of melted swords and they begin to joke and laugh with each other as a spider watches from the shadows ready to report to its master.

"Brother!" Aegon looks up as Rhaenyra walks to him with her hands behind her back and a disapproving look on her face which makes Aegon sigh as he sits up straight and his companions stand bowing their heads to the Princess who walks over to them as she continues to stare at her brother.

"Dearest wife," Aegon mutters as he runs a hand over his face in annoyance as he waves his companions away and they leave quickly nervous to be around two dragons one of whom looked murderous.

"Why are you atop the throne?" Rhaenyra demands coolly. Her voice was dangerous as if she was inviting trouble to attack.

"I am resting." Aegon replied to drunk to realise he was walking into a trap.

"On the Iron Throne?"

"Was that not obvious?"

Rhaenyra grinds her teeth as she mounts the steps and stops in front of her husband who puts his hands to her waist as he looks up at her.

Rhaenyra frowns as he buries his face into her stomach.

"What is wrong?" Rhaenyra asks startled as she runs her hand through the Heir's hair as he leans his cheek against her chest as he pulls her closer to him.

"Father, and mother." Aegon groans as he pulls away so he can look up at his twin who looks down at him worried.

"What of them?"

"The Realm is dividing and Father does not seem to realise," Aegon groans as he continues "Mother is in the pocket of Otto Hightower and does not seem to realise... she is even wearing green for Gods' sake."

Rhaenyra shakes her head as she looks down at the Prince who looks back up at her terror in his eyes. It was rare that Aegon allowed himself to show such deep emotion to anyone bar their mother.

"I can feel death," he confesses "It is coming closer and I am afraid that there will be nothing we can do to stop it."

"They would be foolish to try anything," Rhaenyra says "We have dragons, on a battlefield we would win with little effort."

"You do not need to be good on a battlefield to cause death and divide, Sister."
