Johanna had not been allowed to enter the Small Council chamber since her return. She understood why Daemon did not wish her to be there as her betrayal was still in recent memory no matter if he said he forgave her.
Who could?
Her betrayal had cut a deep wound in the lives of the Targaryen family who had just recently reclaimed their power.
Looking back she could see clearly how Otto Hightower had whispered sweet nothings into her ear, making her reliant on him and his praise.
She cursed how easily he was able to get into her mind.
Johanna had no one to blame but herself. Her actions and insecurities had broken her house and claimed the lives of two of her sons as well as the life of her lover. The father of her three youngest children.
Her second remaining son Cassian had not been in contact with his mother for months even before the divide.
He had used it as an excuse to raise against Daemon Targaryen and lost. As a result he was to be banished to the wall when the War of Ravens came to an end.
There had not been any soldiers marching against soldiers as of yet but ravens flew to every corner of the Realm drumming up allies so each of the Kings could march on the other.
As of yet the only victims had been Maegor and Aemond. Physical victims anyway, Helaena and Rhaena had drawn into themselves only talking to each other in whispers as they clutched each other's hands tightly.
Even Rhaenyra was not parry to their whispers. Not that she minded, she was just happy they were with her.
Tommen stood by his mother's side however as he saw the impact the deaths of his brothers had had on her.
Aegon had taken to following his brother as if Tommen was the elder.
Aegon was terrified his brother would leave him as well and could only be calmed when Tommen was in his sights.
Not that Tommen much minded he was also nervous about becoming the last remaining son of their mother scared of the impact it would have on her.
As the Queen sits alone in her chambers all but on house arrest reading her peace is interrupted by the sound of a single knock on the thick oak doors of the Queen's chambers.
"Yes?" Johanna looks up at the door at the sound of a knock that makes her nervous as she clutches the arm rest of her chair in front of the fireplace.
"It is Ser Arthur your grace," the knocker is quickly given an identity that relaxes the Queen some what as she bids the knight entry to her chambers.
"What is it Ser Arthur?" Johanna Lannister asks as the knight enters her chambers with a shifty glance behind him wondering if he was to take her to the Black Cells.
"You are wanted at the Small Council, your grace," Ser Arthur says with a bow of this head to the Queen who frowns confused as she slowly lowers her book.
"The King has commanded this?"
"Yes your grace," Ser Arthur confirms to the astonishment of this Queen who stands as she smoothes down her black over dress with a steadying breath she nods before walking over to the doors of the Queen's chambers.
With a confused glance around the council Johanna enters rested her hands on her stomach as she sets her eyes on a grinning Daemon who looked back at her as he sat at the head of the table.
"Why have I been called?" Johanna asks confused as she glances at the painted table once more before she holds her eyes on her husband who smirks at her with obvious pride.
"The Pretender Robert Baratheon had been caught."
