The moonlight filtered softly through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over the room. Y/N sat on the edge of the bed, glancing at the calendar on the nightstand. Tomorrow was the full moon, and she knew Remus was already feeling its effects.

Remus lay sprawled across the bed, his body tense with soreness, his breath coming in shallow, pained gasps. But there was something else in his eyes tonight—an unspoken need, a desire mingling with his usual pre-moon discomfort.

"Hey," Y/N said softly, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead. "How are you feeling?"

Remus turned his head towards her, his eyes dark with longing. "Sore," he admitted, his voice rough. "And... I need you, Y/N. I know it's a lot to ask, but..."

Y/N's heart ached at the vulnerability in his voice. She leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. "It's not too much to ask, Remus. I'm here for you, always."

His hand reached out, wrapping around her wrist and pulling her closer. "Thank you," he murmured, his lips brushing against her neck. "You make everything better."

She shifted, lying down beside him and running her fingers through his hair, soothing him with her touch. His body relaxed slightly against hers, the tension easing as he let himself be enveloped in her warmth.

"I love you, Remus," she whispered, her lips trailing soft kisses along his jawline. "Let me take care of you."

He shivered under her touch, a mix of pain and pleasure evident in his expression. "I love you too, Y/N," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "More than anything."

Y/N's hands roamed gently over his body, massaging the sore muscles, drawing out the tension and replacing it with comfort. His breathing grew steadier, and he clung to her, his need for her evident in every touch and sigh.

As the night wore on, Y/N continued to soothe him, her presence a balm for his aching body and restless mind. She whispered sweet words of love and reassurance, holding him close, her love a steady anchor in the turbulent sea of his emotions.

Eventually, Remus's eyes fluttered shut, the exhaustion taking over. But even in his sleep, he kept her close, his body curled around hers protectively. Y/N watched him, her heart swelling with love and determination. No matter what the full moon brought, she would always be there for him, ready to help him through the darkest of nights.
