The days leading up to the full moon were always tense, and Y/N had grown accustomed to the changes in Remus's behavior. His usually calm and composed demeanor gave way to a possessive edge, driven by the heightened instincts and emotions that came with his condition. It wasn't something he could control, and over time, Y/N and Sirius had learned to navigate these times with patience and understanding.

On this particular evening, the Marauders had gathered at their favorite pub, a cozy place where they were regulars. The atmosphere was lively, with patrons chatting and laughing, the sound of clinking glasses creating a backdrop of camaraderie. Y/N, Remus, and Sirius sat at a table near the back, enjoying each other's company. James and Peter were off playing darts, their competitive banter audible even over the din.

Remus's arm was draped possessively over Y/N's shoulders, his other hand resting on Sirius's knee under the table. It was a clear message to anyone who might be watching: they were his, and he wasn't in the mood to share. The occasional glances from other patrons didn't go unnoticed by him, and each one seemed to tighten his grip slightly, his eyes narrowing in silent warning.

Sirius leaned into Remus's touch, understanding and accepting the need for reassurance. "Moony," he murmured softly, his voice soothing, "we're right here, mate. No one's going to take us away."

Y/N nodded, turning her head to press a gentle kiss to Remus's cheek. "Exactly. We're not going anywhere."

Despite their reassurances, Remus couldn't help but feel a surge of possessiveness every time someone looked their way. His usual rational mind was clouded by the proximity of the full moon, and it manifested in an overwhelming need to assert his claim over Y/N and Sirius. He pulled them closer, his body a barrier between them and the rest of the world.

The others noticed too. James, ever the observant one, raised an eyebrow as he returned to the table with Peter. "Looks like Moony's in full guard-dog mode," he remarked with a smirk. "Anyone dares to come close, and they might get bit."

Peter chuckled, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, don't think I've ever seen him this intense."

Sirius laughed, but his eyes were soft as he looked at Remus. "It's just the moon, Prongs. You know how it is."

Remus growled lowly, his gaze flicking to a group of girls who had been glancing their way. "They're looking at you," he muttered, his tone edged with a growl.

Y/N placed a calming hand on his chest. "Remus, it's okay. They can look all they want, but we're here with you."

Despite her words, the possessiveness didn't ease. Instead, Remus leaned in, capturing Y/N's lips in a fervent kiss, his hand sliding up to tangle in her hair. The kiss was passionate, a clear display of ownership and love. When he finally pulled back, he turned to Sirius, claiming his lips with equal intensity, leaving no doubt in anyone's mind that they were his.

The public display of affection drew a few surprised glances and whispers, but no one dared to approach them. James and Peter exchanged knowing looks but said nothing, understanding the need for Remus to assert his dominance during these times.

Y/N and Sirius remained close, offering Remus the reassurance he needed through their touch and presence. They knew that once the full moon had passed, his possessiveness would ease, and their relationship would return to its usual balance. For now, they were content to be his anchors, grounding him in their unwavering love and loyalty.

As the night wore on, the three of them remained entwined, a united front against the world. And though Remus's possessiveness was driven by the approaching full moon, it also served as a powerful reminder of the deep bond they shared, one that no one could break.
