Y/N, James, Remus, and Sirius had a unique relationship, one that was filled with love, laughter, and the occasional teasing. They all had their quirks, but one of the most prominent was James's love for physical affection. He wasn't just touchy with Y/N, but also with Remus and Sirius, much to their amusement.
One sunny afternoon, the four of them were sprawled out on the grass by the Black Lake. James, true to form, had an arm draped over Y/N while his other hand absentmindedly played with Sirius's hair. Remus was lying next to them, reading a book, but he couldn’t help but glance up and chuckle at James’s affectionate nature.
"You know, Prongs, one of these days you're going to smother us with all this love," Sirius teased, his voice light and playful.
James grinned, unfazed. "You love it, Padfoot. Don’t pretend you don’t."
Y/N laughed, nudging James gently. "He's got a point. You’re like an octopus sometimes."
James pouted dramatically. "An octopus? Really? I prefer to think of myself as a loveable, affectionate boyfriend."
Remus looked up from his book, a smirk playing on his lips. "Lovable, yes. But also very touchy. I’m surprised you haven’t started hugging random students in the corridors."
James shot him a playful glare. "Only the best for you lot. My affection is exclusive."
Sirius snorted, shaking his head. "Exclusive, sure. But sometimes it feels like you're trying to hold all of us at once."
James’s grin widened as he shifted his position, leaning over to kiss Y/N’s cheek before giving Sirius a quick peck on the forehead and ruffling Remus’s hair. "Can you blame me? I’ve got the three best partners in the world."
Remus rolled his eyes, but there was a fondness in his expression. "Alright, alright. We get it. You’re hopelessly in love with us."
"And we love you too, James," Y/N added, squeezing his hand. "But seriously, you might want to tone it down just a bit. People are starting to talk."
James laughed, leaning back and pulling all three of them closer. "Let them talk. I’m not ashamed of how much I care about you."
Sirius and Remus exchanged amused glances before Remus spoke up again. "You know what? I think we should have a contest. See who can go the longest without touching anyone else."
James's eyes widened in mock horror. "What? No way. I’d lose in a heartbeat."
Y/N giggled, leaning into James. "Well, maybe that’s the point. To see just how long you can go."
James sighed dramatically, but there was a sparkle in his eye. "Alright, fine. But don’t blame me if I crack in five minutes."
Sirius smirked. "Oh, we’re counting on it."
For the next few minutes, James tried his best to keep his hands to himself. But it wasn’t long before he was reaching out, pulling Remus into a hug and causing everyone to burst into laughter.
"I told you," James said, not at all apologetic. "I’m a lost cause."
Y/N, Sirius, and Remus just shook their heads, their hearts full of affection for the boy who loved so openly and fiercely. They wouldn’t have it any other way.
