James Potter had always been a bit of a showoff, and that didn't change when he started dating Y/N. If anything, it intensified. He was unabashedly affectionate, whether it was holding hands, stealing kisses in the corridors, or wrapping his arms around her waist whenever they were together. While Y/N enjoyed the attention and affection, their friends found endless amusement in teasing James about his constant displays of affection.

One sunny afternoon, the Marauders were lounging by the Black Lake. James had Y/N tucked under his arm, her head resting on his shoulder. Sirius, Remus, and Peter exchanged knowing looks before Sirius spoke up, his voice dripping with mock seriousness.

"Prongs, I never thought I'd see the day when you'd turn into such a lovesick puppy," Sirius said, grinning widely.

James looked over at his best friend, unbothered by the teasing. "What can I say, Padfoot? I'm a changed man."

Remus chuckled, shaking his head. "Changed, sure. But did you have to become so... clingy?"

Peter, always eager to join in the fun, added, "Yeah, James. We can barely recognize you without Y/N glued to your side."

James just laughed, tightening his hold on Y/N and pressing a kiss to her temple. "Jealous, are you?"

Sirius rolled his eyes dramatically. "Hardly. I'm just worried you're going to forget how to function without her around."

Y/N looked up at James, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Maybe we should test that theory. How about I leave you boys to your fun for a bit?"

James's eyes widened slightly, but he played along. "You wouldn't dare."

She smirked, slipping out of his grasp and standing up. "Watch me."

The Marauders burst into laughter as James made a grab for her, only for her to dance out of reach. She shot them a playful wink and started to walk away. James quickly scrambled to his feet, chasing after her with an exaggerated groan.

"Alright, alright, you win!" he called, catching up to her and spinning her around to face him. "But don't think you're getting away that easily."

She laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I knew you'd miss me too much."

Sirius, watching the scene unfold, shook his head in mock despair. "Hopeless. Absolutely hopeless."

James ignored the jibes, focusing entirely on Y/N. "Let them laugh. I'm happy, and that's all that matters."

Remus, ever the voice of reason, smiled warmly. "We're just teasing, James. It's good to see you happy."

Peter nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we just like giving you a hard time."

James grinned, his eyes sparkling with affection as he looked at Y/N. "Well, you'll have to get used to it, because I'm not letting her go."

Y/N leaned in to kiss him, and the Marauders let out a collective groan, though their expressions were fond. Despite all the teasing, they were genuinely happy for their friend.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the lake, the group settled back into their usual camaraderie. James and Y/N stayed close, sharing smiles and whispers, while Sirius, Remus, and Peter continued to tease them every now and then. The bond between them all was strong, and the addition of Y/N had only made it stronger.

And while James's penchant for PDA might have been a source of endless amusement, it was clear to everyone that he had found something truly special.
