Y/N had been looking forward to this day for weeks. She had planned a special outing for her boys, Remus and Sirius, to a muggle aquarium. Both of them were always so curious about the muggle world, and she knew they’d love it. Plus, she had a secret weapon: her extensive knowledge about marine life, which she was eager to share.

As they approached the aquarium, Sirius looked around with wide eyes, taking in the unfamiliar sights and sounds. “Wow, this place is massive! Are there really that many different kinds of fish in here?”

Remus, always the more reserved one, smiled warmly at Y/N. “I’m excited to learn about them. Lead the way, love.”

Y/N grinned, taking their hands and leading them inside. “You two are in for a treat. There’s so much to see!”

Their first stop was the tropical reef exhibit. Brightly colored fish darted through the water, and Y/N’s eyes lit up. “Did you know that clownfish, like those over there,” she pointed to a group of orange-and-white striped fish, “have a symbiotic relationship with sea anemones? The anemones provide them with protection, and in return, the clownfish clean the anemones and provide them with food.”

Sirius leaned in closer to the glass, his breath fogging it slightly. “That’s incredible! I had no idea fish could have such relationships.”

Remus chuckled. “Y/N, I think you’re going to make Sirius’s head explode with all these facts.”

She laughed, squeezing their hands. “Oh, just wait. There’s so much more.”

They moved on to the jellyfish exhibit, where translucent creatures pulsed gracefully through the water. “Jellyfish don’t have brains, hearts, or bones,” Y/N explained. “Their bodies are made up of a gelatinous substance called mesoglea, and they use a simple nerve net to sense their environment.”

Remus raised an eyebrow, clearly fascinated. “No brains? How do they survive?”

“They rely on their stinging cells to catch prey and defend themselves,” Y/N said, pointing to a sign that detailed the process. “And their life cycle is pretty complex too. They go through different stages, from polyps to medusas.”

Sirius shook his head in wonder. “How do you know all this?”

Y/N shrugged with a smile. “I’ve always been fascinated by marine life. It’s a whole different world down there.”

Their next stop was the shark tunnel, where they walked through a glass tunnel surrounded by swimming sharks and rays. Sirius’s eyes were wide with awe as a large shark glided overhead. “Look at the size of that one!”

Y/N nodded enthusiastically. “That’s a sand tiger shark. Despite their fearsome appearance, they’re relatively docile and not a major threat to humans. They have these long, needle-like teeth that are perfect for gripping slippery prey like fish and squid.”

Remus glanced at her with a grin. “You really do know everything about this place, don’t you?”

She blushed slightly. “I just love sharing what I know. And seeing you two so interested makes it even better.”

They continued through the aquarium, with Y/N providing a steady stream of fascinating facts about every exhibit. At the penguin habitat, she explained how penguins could drink salt water thanks to special glands that filter out the salt. At the coral reef display, she talked about the importance of coral reefs to the marine ecosystem and how they provide habitats for countless species.

By the time they reached the touch pool, where they could gently touch rays and small sharks, both Sirius and Remus were thoroughly impressed. “This has been amazing, Y/N,” Remus said, his voice full of admiration. “I’ve learned so much today.”

Sirius nodded vigorously. “Yeah, this was an awesome idea. You’re like our personal marine biologist!”

Y/N beamed, feeling a warm glow of happiness. “I’m glad you both enjoyed it. There’s so much beauty and wonder in the ocean, and I’m happy I could share it with you.”

As they left the aquarium, the sun setting in the distance, Y/N felt a deep sense of contentment. She had spent a wonderful day with the two people she loved most, sharing something she was passionate about. And judging by the smiles on their faces, it was clear they had loved every moment of it too.
