The Gryffindor common room was buzzing with activity as students chatted, studied, and played games. Sirius Black, ever the charming and handsome one, was in the center of it all, laughing and joking with his friends. It wasn't unusual for girls to flock around him, trying to catch his attention with flirtatious smiles and playful touches.

Y/N sat on one of the couches, a book open in her lap, but her attention was elsewhere. She watched as yet another girl giggled at something Sirius said, her hand lingering on his arm a little too long for Y/N's liking. It wasn't that she didn't trust Sirius; she knew he loved her deeply. But the constant attention from other girls was starting to grate on her nerves.

She took a deep breath, reminding herself to stay calm. Acting jealous or clingy wasn't her style. But there had to be a way to assert her place without coming across as possessive in a negative way. As she watched Sirius laugh, she decided on a plan.

Putting her book aside, Y/N stood up and made her way over to the group. Sirius noticed her immediately, his eyes lighting up with a genuine smile that made her heart flutter. "Hey, love," he greeted, pulling her into his side with an arm around her waist.

"Hey," she replied, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. She turned to the girl who had been flirting with him, her smile polite but firm. "Hi, I'm Y/N, Sirius's girlfriend."

The girl blinked, her smile faltering slightly. "Oh, I didn't realize..."

"No worries," Y/N said smoothly, her tone friendly but unmistakably clear. "It's nice to meet you. Sirius and I were just about to head out for a bit. Do you mind?"

Sirius raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Y/N's sudden assertiveness but clearly pleased. "Yeah, we've got plans," he added, playing along.

The girl nodded, her interest clearly waning as she realized Sirius was taken. "Sure, no problem."

As they walked away, Sirius glanced at Y/N, amusement dancing in his eyes. "Plans, huh? What did you have in mind?"

Y/N smirked, leading him out of the common room and into the quieter corridors of the castle. "I just thought we could use some alone time. You seem to attract a lot of attention, Mr. Black."

Sirius chuckled, pulling her closer. "Jealous, are we?"

She looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Maybe a little. But I figured there are better ways to remind everyone that you're mine."

He grinned, leaning down to capture her lips in a deep kiss. "I like the way you think."

They found a secluded spot, away from prying eyes, and spent some time just enjoying each other's company. Y/N's actions had sent a clear message without being overly possessive, and Sirius appreciated the balance she struck.

As they made their way back to the common room later, hand in hand, Y/N felt a sense of satisfaction. She didn't need to be clingy or annoying to show that Sirius was hers. All it took was a little confidence and a reminder of the bond they shared. And from the way Sirius looked at her, she knew he wouldn't have it any other way.
