I put on my hockey gear and got ready to step onto the ice. As I stood up from the bench, I felt all of the weight from my gear develop onto me. Just before stepping on the ice, I got my hockey stick and put on my helmet.

I watched as all my teammates talked to each other and practice a little. I then felt someone tap my shoulder. It was Robin. I think I had developed a crush on him. It might just be a little phase though.

"You ready for tomorrow's game ?" Robin had asked me. "Eh kinda. The team we're playing has a lot of good players. Better players." I said. "Yeah well, im pretty sure we'll do good." Robin added. It was a bit awkward and quiet after, until he spoke again. "I think I heard that, that kid is from the other team. The team that we're playing. Who knows why he's watching our practice. Ugh." Robin said, pointing his finger at the guy that was sitting in the bleachers.

He was rather cute and had good features. After a while, our coach finally huddled us up and talked to us.

"So as we all know, we have a big game coming up tomorrow. I wanna prepare you as much as possible. That being said, all we will do today is play scrimmages and condition." Our coach had said. I gave Robin a look, and rolled my eyes after hearing "condition." Robin smiled at me.

"Alright, let's all line up on the goal line. Let's goooo. Hustle." My coach began. We warmed up and conditioned ourselves. I would occasionally glance at Robin. I caught myself quickly glance at the boy sitting in the bleachers too.

After conditioning , our coach let us get water. I stepped off the ice and went to where my belongings were. The boy in the bleachers just so happened to be sitting near my stuff. "Hey." I heard a voice say. I didn't bother to look because I thought it was one of my teammates or something.

"Hey number (any jersey #)." I heard. I looked up and looked around but didn't see anyone calling me. "Up here" I heard the voice say. I looked up behind me and saw the boy. "Oh sorry. But hey." I said, turning my body to face him. "I just wanted to say, you look good out there." He said smiling. I kinda blushed. "Oh...thanks. Uh, you're on the other team right?" I asked. He just nodded.

Coach had called us back, so I had to go. "I'll talk to you after practice, yeah?" He said. I just said yeah and headed back over. When I joined my team on the ice, I noticed Robins whole mood changed. I could tell by his body language and the faces he made. I didn't say anything about it though.

When practiced finished, I had changed into my regular clothes and was about to leave. Then I heard the boy from the bleachers call out my number again. I quickly turned around, forgetting that he was gonna talk to me again.

"You did good today." He would say. I smiled back. "Thanks. Kinda nervous though." I admitted. He didn't respond. "What's your name by the way?" He asked. "My names Y/n. You?" "Josh." We talked a bit more. We had talked for like maybe 30 minutes. We got to know each other more. I kinda liked this boy.

We eventually had to leave because the cleaning crew had to clean up or whatever. Once we got outside we said our byes because we were going different ways. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Good luck." He said, as he walked away. I smiled and was about to leave but once I turned around, Robin was right there.

I was surprised, but he just kinda looked at me and said nothing for a while. "Robin, what are you still doing here?" I asked. "So, I see you're talking to the kid." Robin said. "Yeah, so? He's honestly pretty cool." I said. "Hm." was all Robin said. "So, what's your deal with him?" Robin asked. "He's just a friend. I barely started talking to him now. What's your problem?" I asked.

Robin just stared at me. "See you tomorrow at the game." Robin said, walking away. I was confused, but tried to shrug it off and pay attention to the game tomorrow.

I was warming up for the game. The game was gonna start in 10 minutes. I felt ready, but i don't know if I actually was. I was nervous because Josh's team is really good.

I was walking towards the rink until I heard a loud scream. Then I started to hear a whole bunch of people shouting. The voices were coming from one of the halls on the other team's side. I quickly rushed to see what was going on. As I was approaching, I could see dots of blood on the ground.

I looked up and saw someone on the ground screaming, but I couldn't see who it was because these guys were huddled around him. I got closer and found a small space between these two guys.
I saw that the boys whole leg was bleeding. The boy was Josh.

"Josh??" I said, but he couldn't hear my voice because of the loudness of the halls. I was in shock, that I had to back up into the wall behind me. "They say some kid struck him with a baton and ditched." I overheard some people say. I had just remembered that Robin hadn't shown up yet. I quickly realized what could've happened.

I ran down the hall to our locker room. I was praying that my realization was wrong. I turned every corner as fast as I could. I had finally made it to the locker room. To my surprise I saw Robin, with his back facing me. It took me a while to realize that in his left hand he held a baton.

"Did you do it..?" I asked him, with my voice trembling. Robin didn't say anything. Instead, he slowly turned around. I could see that the baton had blood, dripping down from it...
