Male Terra's POV:

With the two squads converging,
Selena and Alexander will be our primary bosses,
and in the unlikely event we get separated or they are knocked out or killed,
Arthur and Elizabeth will take command, and their 3rd backup plan is making Reed the last go-to guy.
Everyone returned home,
and Shimura got my attention,
wanting to educate me on my new position.
Auxiliary Class Exorcist are used as spies and reconnaissance,
and they can be promoted to Inquisiters or Quaestor Class.
Shimura brings me over to his London building,
where he gave me file after file to read on information ordinary Exorcist aren't allowed to read,
such as how some Exorcist Branches kill the very humans they are exercising where as the ones that don't,
merely purify the human and get rid of the Demon.

Other files mention these human like sub species called Animal Skins as these humans take on animal like features, and they live life vastly different from normal humans.
In the file in bright bold words,
it says,
"NOT DEMONS! KILLING ONE WILL RESULT IN A POSSIBLE DEMOTION, DOCK IN PAY, SUSPENSION OR POSSIBLE TERMINATION."
After reading all the different files, Shimura pulled in Kenneth,
Elain,
and Himiko to share their stories of when they were my rank and all the different recon they did and what to expect.
Elain,
in particular,
had the most brutal experience as one mission went wrong,
and her legs were blown off by a trap set by a camp of Oni Demons.

She went into specifics of an Oni's biology and that their blood is like lava and their sweat is like gas or any other flammable liquid and that their spit or saliva is very acidic.
Kenneth finished the story by commenting how him and Himiko saved her back when Himiko reached the rank of Legate and before she became a Branch leader.
Himiko's experience was vastly different as she explored and collected data without fear.
She dived head first into her mission regardless of the dangers and had Miss Selena there to keep a good head on her shoulders and steer her on the right path.
With story time over,
I was dismissed.

Days later,
more jobs rolled up as the science division specifically requested the help of our team.
They had us in an inclosed room where the Mine family opened the latch on their side,
and mechanical creatures entered the room from their tunnel,
and Mister Mine,
a tall blonde German man with green eyes, put on green shades, and speaks into the mic.
"This is a test for your Familiars. Have them fight my creations while we study both parties."
So everyone did as told,
and our Familiars stepped forward into the center,
where these mechanical creatures fired off this red energy wave from their mouths or tails rendered the usage of magic or runes unuasable!

I could feel the magic energy in my body being drained little by little!
Oh,
I forgot to mention that Female Terra is like a JoJo Stand and hovers everywhere but stays within a certain distance of Alexander.
Anyway,
so Female Terra,
Chase, Sora,
Seth, Zoey,
Yuzuhara,
and the other animals like Familiars that the rest of the squad had went up against the science division creations and it was a flawless victory.
Mister Futaba stops typing on his tablet and doesn't look all that thrilled as he is saying something,
but since his mic isn't on,
no one could hear him from the soundproof glass.
Thankfully,
I picked up reading lips from my time at the Academy when me and Ventus had to talk without getting spotted by teachers.

So Futaba says that this is impossible and that he checked the stats and that he personally engineered them to take down our Familiars.
He turns the mic back on and congratulates our Familiars but then says the second round won't be as easy. What happened?
Flawless victory again,
this time,
the robots looked more like chimeras than anything else.
Third and final bout of the job,
Futaba releases a Demon called the Chimera,
and it was huge!
Unlike the robots,
though,
this is a living creature!
It rams Chase into the wall,
tail bash Sora,
and it was swiftly killed by Female Terra as lightning was its elemental weakness.
