Artificial 7: Genesis Requiem

Chapter 41: Rosalia The Bloodbath

Selena's POV:

Back in London,
Genesis's summons are still running wild.
Shimura went to the left to aid any Exorcist fighting the summons,
Himiko went right to aid Kenneth and his platoon in pushing back the Genesis clones,
and I went straight because the twins have Genesis's scent,
and they're giving me directions on where to go.
I cut across and into all sorts of different buildings and factories,
encountering minimal resistance from Genesis clones.

The Pope texted me Rosalia The Blood Bath's location,
and I head to the address with Google Maps.
It took me every single back way possible,
and I kept getting swarmed by clones, but it was nothing using some cover,
and hand guns can't solve.
Once I emerged from the buildings, air strikes were raining down in heavy Exorcist areas,
no doubt culling our numbers.

Genesis clones wearing jet packs and armored with the mech suits fly in my direction,
military assault rifels blazing and mowing the streets!
I duck and roll under a truck and deployed Sora to deal with them,
and the temperature in the area gets freezing cold to the point my breath is visible,
thankfully, though,
Chase's power warms me up,
and I quickly adjust to the temperature change.

The amount of gun shooting does down, so I rolled out from under the truck,
got up and saw most of the clones dead except for one.
Sora runs, jumps on top of a street lamp, jumps off of it,
and onto the side of a building.
Jumps off the side of the building,
and finally,
she grabs the last clone,
freezing him solid and smashing him head first into the ground,
shattering the body into several tiny ice pieces.

Sora merges back into me,
and I praise her for her work.
(I see you took a page out of Seth's book.) I teased Sora a bit.
(Not really. I just didn't feel like teleporting.)
Sora replied back.
(Ok, but you got to admit, Seth has left some sort of imprint on you both.)
(He has, but he'll never hear us say it.) (K.)
We moved on into the under city tunnels,
I gunned down more clones,
exploded a few cars,
ran into a factory only to find out that it's an Exorcist weapon making factory.

I arrived at my destination according to Google Maps,
so I searched high and low,
using my gun and sword to block and parry bullets,
then shooting the clones.
The waves kept getting worse as the further I jogged up,
the more things got sent my way,
like a floor full of drones that Chase exploded for me,
and they all had guns on the bottom.
The next floor had mech suits marching towards me that Sora dealt with,
and finally,
the bigger floors had fully functional mechs.
I found several rocket launchers, gernade launchers,
and turret gun,
which I proceed to use all of them,
and I used Sora's power to create a wall of ice that its wrist mounted minigun couldn't shoot through.

I parkoured up to the higher floor. Jumped off and stabbed it in the eyes so it couldn't see,
and it sprayed bullets everywhere, walking backward and starting to break the wall in the process,
and I leaped off,
taking my sword with me.
The mech fell on some machines,
and its neck and eye region was sparking electricity.
I took a one-way lift since the stairs weren't in sight,
and I arrived in the semi-final room where Rosalia was located.

"Still alive after all that carnage and chaos I see. Answer me this. Are you one of those Exorcist Super Soldiers like Mister Verona and Mister Woods? Or are you extremely lucky to make it this far?" Rosalia leans against the railing.
Looking out the broken windows to the Exorcist being slaughtered and fighting tooth and nail for the people of London's safety.
"Neither, but I'm more than enough to beat you."

Rosalia turns to face me.
"Huh? More than enough to beat me? Hahahaha! Those Demons, perhaps, but you? I'm a bessmertnyy!" 
[Translation: Russian word for immortal]
Rosalia ignores the fact that I have my gun aimed at her and a sword in the other hand.
"I gave up my humanity a long time ago for power. Such human weaknesses no longer apply to me. Tis the path I have chosen and tis the path that has been ordained. I shall be an immortal until all life ceases in this pitiful wretched world!  And I'm not about to let you defy my brothers dreams of summoning the Armageddon Demon. You can die now, Miss Selena Mendez, and may the devil himself torment you with the screams of thy dying parents!"

Rosalia circles around me and pulls out her double-sided swords.
I holster my gund and remove my sword from the sword frog,
sitting down and smiling at this woman's arrogance.
"On second thought, you're not worth my time. Twins. Have some fun!"
The twins emerge from me,
and Rosalia turns into a bolt of electricity,
zipping around the room,
firing her SMG cross guard and filling the twins full of holy rounds.

Chase and Sora teleported to her and started a flurry of punches and kicks, and before long,
all three became blurs as they moved fast enough that my eyes could hardly perceive them.
Rosalia crashes into the floor from a kick from the twins,
and she gets up,
twirling her sword as the twins get beside me while I continue to watch amused.

Even goating Rosalia by yawning and resting my fist on cheek with a smug little smile.
"Do you know why brother Genesis and brother Weissal gave me the code name Rosalia The Blood Bath? Allow me to show you!"
She splits her double-sided swords and starts dual wielding them.

"Nah, I'll pass. No one even cares about your code name, but you, so can you speed things along? We're kinda on a time crunch here."
I replied, serving to troll and piss off Rosalia even more.
She kept running around as a blur,
and the twins kept chasing after her.
I blocked any incoming bullet with my sword as Rosalia started to target me, and even threw both swords at them and ran for me only for me to smack her arm away that was going to pierce my chest with the handel of my sword and she bolted again,
getting her sword and clashing with the twins again.

She sliced and diced them,
but they heald quicker than she could harm them,
and in a war of attrition,
the twins proved superior.
Don't fuck with a Demon.
"To think...... there would be people stronger than me..... absurd! I will........ never...... give you........ the luxury...... of kiling...... ME!"
Rosalia runs to the railings and cuts the broken pieces of the floor so that she will fall,
and when she tried to kill herself.
The twins wouldn't let her.
They teleported her back to me,
and they grinned from ear to ear.
"Hey Selena, we see this black thing around her body, and we want to try something. Do we have time?"
Chase asks for permission.
"Go right ahead."

Chase and Sora grab something,
but I couldn't see it,
and then the black thing Chase mentioned became visible!
Rosalia cried out in pain,
throwing a tantrum that she was immortal and that no one could kill her except for herself.
Yeah, well, the twins just debunked your little theory,
and they ripped the soul out of her legs first in an unclean way that Rosalia lost the ability to move her lower body entirely.
Then, the soul part of her arms were ripped off,
and she couldn't move and twist her arms as Rosalia's tantrum turns into cries of a broken person who has been broken in mind, body, spirit, and soul.

Her red hair turned pure white,
and I looked away to watch the battlefield from the railings she tried to kill herself on.
Shimura and Himiko were in their giant golden aura Buddhas,
fighting giant summons on different parts of the city,
and finally, Rosalia let out one final scream,
followed by a slurping noise from the twins.
"Ah, that hit the spot."
Chase says.
"Alright, play time is over, back to work." I said as the twins merged back into me, and I flew back onto the battlefield. Gotta find Genesis and end him before he escapes again.
