Chapter 9: Pregnant

Narration: After the Garden Of Eden and a week of downtime,
Selena struggles with frequent migraines and the new evolution of her body as when Chase or Sora possesses her,
her body undergoes evolution to handel their power.
Now that the migraines have stopped and she's able to function again,
the Pope arranges an appointment at her apartment to roughly convey the same thing he told Alexander.
Keep your Familiars in check,
to which she told him that she can't control them when she's under the influence of Illusion Magic or passed out from said Illusion Magic.

"I get that, but please. Next time, keep a tighter leash on them. They burned down a sacred thing, and I understand that they are Demons and you're not very religious. However, the Church Organization has made a pledge to protect sacred things and places. You agreed to follow that oath when you signed the dotted line. Anyway, I'm done preaching to you."
Pope Rekture left her apartment,
so Selena put on her uniform and went to the building Himiko and Shimura are using for their base of operations.

Selena went to the archive room and made a physical copy of her background, a picture of a Demon she's spent ten years of her life hunting and stuffed it all into a folder.
Next, Selena went to talk to Himiko and Shimura and arranged an appointment to have a talk with Azura Aqua.
On the day of the meeting,
Azura gets paged to Selena's apartment, which she begrudgingly entered.
There,
she saw three chairs.
One for her,
one for Himiko,
and one for Shimura.

Selena was on her bed,
and the gist of the appointment was Selena taking the time to be emotionally vulnerable with Azura and try to get her to see that Eraqus Woods has manipulated her into thinking all Demons are evil so she handed Azura the file of Selena's life.
She opened it up,
and the content read that Selena was an ordinary human,
had ordinary parents,
and a Demon with half black hair,
half white hair attacked and killed her parents.
All she really remembered about him was that he wore a white suit,
black tie,
and his unique hair.

Page two,
she sought out the Exorcist and hiked the streets of Mexico until she found the Mexico Branch.
She was then taken in by Lord Shimura before he legally adopted Himiko,
and he trained Selena under the harshest conditions.
For a while,
Selena saw all Demons as evil,
just like Azura and Eraqus Woods,
but Shimura had a sit-down talk with her and had to explain to her that she isn't anything special and that hundreds of thousands of humans are killed by Demons yearly.

Sense Selena had no family anymore, Shimura raised her as his own and trained her to combat the very Demon she swore revenge on.
It took him time,
effort,
and a lot of patience,
but he molded her into the open mindset she needed to be in.

Of course,
Azura didn't believe in Selena's mindset, but when Selena pointed out the logic, Azura had no choice but to accept it. "Think about it, Azura. He came to you when you were just a kid and in need of real parents. He manipulated you since you were a child and gave you an outlet to direct your anger towards, used Christianity to mold you the way he wanted you. Please, it's not too late to see the wrong he has done to you."

Azura went silent,
and for the first time,
Selena, Himiko,
and Shimura extended friendship, family,
and warmth to the blockhead,
and while Azura didn't accept her feelings,
she did acknowledge them and needed time.
2 weeks later,
Azura came around and accepted Selena's offer of friendship and did her best to be truly open-minded.
Learning as much as she could from Selena, Himiko,
and Shimura.

Azura was practically inseparable from them much to Eraqus Woods's anger. Shortly afterward,
Azura started treating Seth better,
much to his skepticism,
but with time,
they became closer to the point that they would call each other a friend.
