Chapter 54: A New Enemy

Narration:

Shortly after the negotiations,
Selena calls Himiko and goes with Seth back in the direction of Shimura's building.
"Hello?" Himiko says.
"Hey sis, can you get the old man and tell him to gather everyone in the front of his building?"
Selena speed talks.
"Umm yeah, sure. I take it negotiations failed?"
Selena grins as she breaks the news to Himiko.
"Seth manned up over here and declared war on humanity."
Selena drops so casually.
"I'll go tell him."

Himiko hangs up.
"Good, now we just need to wait for the twins and Terra to come back with all the Demon Tribes."
Seth says.
Sometime later,
the twins paid the Wind Tribe a visit and entered the council building.
Niel recognized them immediately and got down on his right knee,
and his left fist pressed against the floor. The twins smile at Niel as this act fuels their already big ego,
and then it clicks with them that this is Niel,
a guy who helped them out during the whole Valla situation.
"Hey Niel, how have you been, man?" Chase says.

Niel looks up,
seeing as he made their good side.
He looks them in the eye.
"Good Chase, what brings you here?" Chase looks at the meeting room behind Niel.
"Your Tribe leader. Seth sent us to all the problematic Tribes that won't listen, and he wants us to tell them we're going to war and to get their asses to the London Gabi building."
Niel nods immediately and lets the twins enter the meeting room where Japanese wind demons have green hair and green ninja suits with spikey shogun like shoulder pads.

"Who are you, and how did you get past our guard?!"
The Chief raised his voice,
failing to realize that Chase was the one who shook the planet that one time he powered up to expell Valla from his body.
"I'm one of the new kings of the Artificial race, now shut your mouth and get your ass to the London Gabi building."
The Chief stands up furious with Chase. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, BARGING INTO OUR TERRITORY, MAKING DEMANDS OF US, AND CLAIMING YOUR SELF THE KING?! NIEL, KILL HIM!"
Niel remains in a bowing position. "NEIL!"

The Cheif cries out.
Niel enters the room with a serious face. "No can do, sir. They are stronger than anything I can kill. Sending me to fight them is suicide and I'm not down for throwing my life away."
Niel replies.

The Chief and his council freeze in fear as Chase jumps onto the giant table and casually walks over to the Chief.
"Now that we've established hierarchy in this room, get your asses to London before I force you there. I'm not in a playful mood today, so could you cooperate?"
Chase asks in such an intimidating tone. (Welp. There goes another Tribe. Maybe I should pledge my loyalty to these guys?)
Niel thought.

Male Terra's POV:

A few hours later,
every single Exorcist Shimura and Himiko have been waiting outside, talking to each other until further notice. The twins and Female Terra return with an army of Artificial Demons with their different symbols on their banners,
and like us,
they are decked out for war.
Ventus, Reed, Jeffrey, me, Selena, Himiko,
and Shimura got a front row seat to Seth's rallying speech,
saying stuff like humanity wanted to make the Artificial race slaves again, and Seth ripped their paper up,
declaring war on humanity.
It wasn't a good speech,
but it wasn't a bad one either.

It just didn't make my hair stand up and send a shiver down my spine.
The twins made sure Seth was filmed as they basically abducted a news crew long enough to record his rallying speech and declaration of war,
then they grabbed the camera and yelled something along the lines of we'll give you 2 weeks to meet us on the battlefield and to launch anything and everything at them and to hold nothing back. Something along those lines.

After that,
my father saw the broadcast and sent a messenger to fetch me and Ventus and bring him to his new office,
which was in the Turk Organization. Dad was wearing a Pope hat and sat in a luxurious rich people room and sag on a plain old chair,
whereas the man next to him had blonde hair,
greenish blue eyes,
an expensive white suit,
black tie,
and the same brand of trench coat as Seth but white and having two belts for the waist section.

"You wanted to see us, Mister Woods?"
I said coldly.
"Yes, my boy. The time is finally upon us to kill Pope Rekture and for me to ascend as the face of the Church Organization. I want you to join my cause and liberate the world from Demons! Join us in recreating this new world and help us bring balance, my boy."
I look at him like he's stupid,
but before I unleash on him,
the man sitting in a rich person chair next to him,
he seemed more interesting.
"Before we get to that, who's your friend on your left?"

Dad looked to his left and began introducing his business partner.
"This is Rufus Armstrong! He is the man that funds our new Church Organization, and the man that will place me in power."
Uh huh....
the man goes from uninterested in the conversation and resting his hand on his cheek to suddenly interested in me.
He fixes his posture and sits more like a king on his throne.

"Pleasure to meet you, kid."
Rufus looks me in the eyes,
and we both had a look of instinctively knowing we were going to be enemies. Like two arch nemesis glaring down at each other.
"So may I have your answer?"
Dad asks us in a more serious tone.
"No. I know what you did to AJ and Ventus, and after all this time, you still see yourself as the richeous one? Shimura has been more of a dad to me in the past few years than you have been in my whole life!"

Rufus raises his arm and speaks quietly into his sleeves,
causing men in black suits to come out of every door possible with guns aimed at us.
I tear into dad and Ventus pipes up here and there,
also ripping into him,
and all of us are telling him how we really feel about all the BS he's put us through.
"Are you finished barking little pups?" Rufus stands up and pulls a handgun with a scope on it and aims right for me, causing dad to get in the way.

"Sir Rufus, show mercy to my boys! Let's let them leave this once and on the battlefield. When they see the stark reality they face, let us welcome them back with open arms!"
Dad pleads in a villainous kind of way, and Rufus twirls his handgun and puts it back into his trench coat,
telling us to scram and pray to any god out there that we do not run into each other on the battlefield.
His men let us go,
and we make our way back to Shimura's building where Seth and everyone were in a strategy meeting with a whole ass map of the world and state maps with chess pieces.

The conversation went down like this. Shimura, Himiko,
and Selena are telling the twins where Shimura's weapon factories are in Mexico and Japan and put chess pieces on each spot so the twins know where they are then circle them in red as a do not destroy location,
then the black ones they circled all over the map,
which took hours to do were to be destroyed.
2 weeks later,
we met the enemy in the forest region of the UK where we stood behind Seth,
the twins, Shimura, Himiko, Selena, Female Terra,
and a woman who looked nearly identical to the twins.

She had long silver white hair,
red eyes,
a white scarf,
a white shirt,
and a black jacket similar to Sora's.
She wore cut-off blue jeans that were short shorts and lastly she had this aura, this ergey about her that matched Sora's. The enemy finally pulls up.
Every nation except for Mexico and Japan showed up alongside my dad's Exorcist forces.

There were some tanks taking position and fighter jets circling the battlefield. This is it,
the moment of truth.
"FREEDOM OR DEATH!"
Seth,
let's out a war cry,
and both sides begin to charge at each other,
beginning the start of an epic,
onesided clash.
