The gas station was eerily quiet when Olivia pulled up. She exited her car and tried to get gas but couldn't because it wouldn't budge.

"Fuck sake" she muttered. She opened the door to the store as she wanted to grab a snack and a man jumped out at her with a gun which made her heart jump out of her chest. "Don't shoot!" she exclaimed with both of my hands in the air.

He had parted dirty blonde hair and ice-blue eyes that dug into hers, with his eyebrows narrowed intimidatingly. He clenched his jaw which made her pay attention to his sharp jawline. He looked young, around the same age as her - 19-23 and shy... like he had never touched a woman in his life.

On the other hand, Leon thought the opposite of Olivia. She had black hair but he could tell it was dyed that way because her roots were growing in. Her piercings made her look fierce. She had her left eyebrow pierced and her lip pierced. Her ears too with about 2/4 piercings in each. Her blue eyes were way harsher than his soft ones. The girls' British accent was nice to hear as well. It was scratching his brain in the right ways.

And her body as well... it was... sexy. But Leon would never openly say that he was staring at someone's ass and tits.

Suddenly, Leon saw that whatever the creatures that he approached in the store, were behind the girl and he didn't want anyone to get hurt so he yelled "Get down!" So she did, not leaving any room for questions. He shot at the creature. Once Olivia heard it collapse, she looked behind herself.

It had hard blue-coloured skin and it was ripped in many areas. It looked like it could have been a human once. Its jaw was torn on the right side of its face and its eye had been blown due to Leon putting a bullet through it to save me from whatever this was.

"What the fuck is that?" she said, just above a whisper.

Suddenly, they heard noises coming from the distance and a bunch of other similar-looking creatures came towards them.

Leon, who was beside Olivia, spoke up "Can you handle a gun?" He questioned, pointing the gun at the beings in front of them. She nodded as he handed her another gun that he had. "Be careful with that gun. It's my favourite" He warned.

"Thanks," Olivia said "I'll call it Matilda"

"You'll thank me later. When we're safe" He told her and she didn't reply, too frightened of the sight in front of her. "Also, weird for naming guns at this time" He stated and she shrugged, somewhat agreeing with him.

Leon thought it was quite amusing that in this mess, she still had humour in her.

There was a bang on the window behind them but Leon pointed his gun in the direction of it as Olivia kept her eyes in front. He looked back at her and yelled "Come on!" So she followed when he ran to the police car. He sat in the driver's seat as she got into the passenger. He started the car and said, "Hold on". He then pressed his foot onto the pedal to get them out of there as soon as possible.

"What the hell" she mumbled, slamming her head on the seat. "What is going on?" she asked Leon, hoping he would have some answers but unfortunately, he didn't.

"Hopefully, they'll have some answers at the police station" He replied.

"Police station?" she questioned, "Wait, you're a cop?"

He nodded, looking towards her for a second and then turning his head back to look at the road "Yeah, Leon Kennedy" He told her. Olivia knew he gave her his real name as she looked at his name tag on his uniform, but then again, who would be stupid enough to give a fake name when wearing a name tag?

Leon realised she was looking at his name tag. He thought it was fair for her to have her suspicions of a stranger, however, he would never be stupid enough to give out a fake name when wearing a name tag "And you are?" He asked, pulling her out of my trance.

"Olivia Oakley" she replied.

Leon was intrigued by Olivia. She was beautiful, strong and fierce, brave too. He found that intriguing.

He repeated my name in a slight whisper "Olivia. Beautiful name"

Olivia thought that he had a soft voice. Like, he could never insult a bug which flies into his face every 3 seconds. Kind eyes too. However, something was intriguing about him because she could tell that something in his eyes was... sad.

"Thank you. People call me Liv" she told him and he nodded.

After a bit of a pause, he asked "You're not from here, are you?

Olivia shook her head "What gave it away" she chuckled, referring to my British accent.

"It's... it suits you" He replied. He wasn't lying. She smiled in appreciation. "So what brings you to Raccoon City?"

"I came to visit my uncle. He's a cop too"

"Well, it's a good thing we found each other. I don't know what to expect any more..." He said as we continued driving in Raccoon City.

"Attention all citizens: Due to the citywide outbreak, you are advised to take shelter at the Raccoon City police station. Free food and medical supplies will be provided to everyone in need"

"God, I hope so" she mumbled "I was going to get food at the gas station but I was rudely interrupted" she joked, referring to what happened at the gas station a few minutes ago.

Leon chuckled, grabbing a granola bar out of his pocket "There you go"

Olivia smiled as she took it off of him. She split the bar into two and gave the other half to him. "I was raised right"

After eating the halves of a granola bar, Leon said "The police station's not much farther. They'll know something"

"I sure as hell hope there are survivors" she replied.

"No," he said, shutting down the whole idea "There are survivors" He locked eyes with her for a moment and she was entranced in them, trying to find out more about them, until he spoke again "It's a big city... there has to be"

They came to a stop when they pulled up in front of yellow barriers, behind them there were cars everywhere. "Looks like we're walking from here" Leon stated.

Olivia looked over at two of the zombie-like creatures eating a body. "Or... running," she said.

Leon looked in the direction she was looking and replied "Good call"

Just then, zombies began piling up on the car so she suggested backing up but Leon barely started the car before they both saw a massive truck driving straight towards them. Leon yelled, "Liv, get out!"

She tried to push the door open and so did he but both the doors wouldn't budge due to the high amount of zombies pushing against them "I can't!" Olivia yelled back in panic.

Just then, the truck drove into a few cars before it hit theirs. She bumped her head against the dash... hard. After they came to a stop, she rubbed her head a little, trying to find a way out of the car. Olivia's side of the door still wouldn't open but she looked beside her and Leon's was. He reached out his hand towards her "Come on!" He exclaimed. Olivia took his hand and he pulled her out.

He was worried that he would lose the only person he had in the city. He was unsure whether or not there would be other survivors but if there weren't, at least he had Olivia.

As soon as they were at a safe distance away from the car, it caught on fire.

Olivia breathed out a breath she didn't even know she was holding. "Oh fuck" she mumbled and then there was another explosion. Leon flew into a car as she was uncomfortably placed against another one, covering her face.

Once the gush of wind stopped, she was back on my feet normally, except her knees were shaking due to the pressure change. She heard Leon groan in pain so she looked in his direction. He was on his hands and knees on the ground, one hand touching his abdomen "Are you okay?" Olivia asked him. She walked over to him and helped him up.

"Thanks," He said. "We should probably get going," He told her as they looked around at the zombies approaching them.
