After a while, they walked further into the main hall and Marvin had a seat on one of the couches. Olivia sat down on a desk again because she liked having my feet hanging off of something. Leon leaned against the same desk, amused that Olivia was swinging her feet about. He realised that she had much more of an outgoing personality than he thought.

Olivia cleaned off Matilda and reloaded the gun as well. "Does anyone know what started this?" she questioned, hoping that Marvin had an answer.

"Not a clue" Marvin responded "But honestly, all you need to know is that this place will eat you alive if you aren't careful"

Leon reloaded his gun "Yeah... well, I was supposed to start last week and I got a call to stay away"

Admittedly, Olivia wasn't paying nearly as much attention to his words as she was paying attention to his hands as he handled the gun. It was sexy, to say the least. She was kind of bummed out when he placed his gun back into his pocket.

"I wish I'd come here sooner," Leon added to what he was saying.

"You're here now, Leon. That's all that matters" Marvin replied and then looked over at me "So what brings you here, Olivia?"

"I was looking for my uncle but now I'm not so sure he's alive..." she said, just above a whisper at the last part of her sentence.

Knowing that my uncle could be one of those creatures terrified me because what would she do if at one point she had to shoot him to save myself?

"Don't put too much doubt into it" Marvin told me "He may still be alive out there"

After a minute or two of silence, Leon walked up to Marvin, telling him that he was ready.

"Hopefully, you'll be able to find a way out of this station" Marvin said "That officer you met earlier - Elliot. He thought this secret passageway might do the trick" He handed him over a small notebook. Olivia jumped off the desk and looked over Leon's shoulder to see the notebook. There was a drawing of the passageway he was talking about.

Leon wanted to feel her touch again by either laying her head on his shoulder or... just doing something to make this craving go away. He knew he was digging himself a hole by focusing on the contact from Olivia.

He watched as she looked over at Marvin "That means we can get you to a hospital"

Leon felt his heart sink a little at the statement, knowing that the possibility of a hospital around the area which wasn't infected, was very low. However, he wasn't giving up on Marvin that quickly.

Marvin shook his head "No, no, I am not the priority here"

Leon narrowed his eyebrows, shocked at what he just said "Lieutenant, we're not just gonna leave you here-"

"I'm giving you an order, rookie!" Marvin yelled "You save yourselves first. I'd come with you but I'd just slow you down" Marvin stood up and handed Leon a combat knife "If you see one of those things - uniform or not - you do not hesitate. You take it out... or you run, got it?" Marvin groaned in pain and sat back on the couch.

Leon and Olivia walked away from Marvin, worried but they had to move on either way. As they walked towards another unopened shutter, Leon handed Olivia the knife "Take it"

"Why?" she asked "You're the one who keeps shooting at things and wasting bullets when we could easily dodge them" she said with a hint of amusement in my voice.

Leon rolled his eyes sarcastically "Just take it, Liv. I would rather you have another weapon than I"

That wasn't a lie. Selfishly, it made him feel better that Olivia had more weapons because that meant that she had a bigger chance of saving herself in an emergency.

Olivia sighed and took it from him. She pulled the lever to open the shutter and they walked into the room. Olivia noticed more bullets were lying on one of the couches so she handed them to Leon. He nodded and put them in his pocket.

They walked into the hallway and there was an officer with his jaw hanging and another one hanging from the ceiling.

"This is disgusting to look at" Olivia mumbled and Leon agreed, taking her hand into his. He pulled her with him further into the hallway and at the end of it, a zombie was banging on the window which it eventually got through.

They ran past it into the operations room and Olivia found another pack of bullets which she tried to give to Leon but he refused and made her keep them. He wanted to have more bullets at all times. If it came to it, he would give her his in seconds. Not even 2 hours had gone by and Leon was already feeling this way - it was the most worrying feeling because he didn't want to hurt the girl if she fell in love with him. Not that he thought she could, but if it came to it.

As Leon was looking at the map of the station, the zombie which climbed through the window came into the room. Leon turned and was about to shoot it but Olivia did instead.

"Jesus, Liv" He mumbled.

"I'm not a damsel in distress, Leon," she said to him and then climbed on top of one of the boxes and waited for him to follow her through the small cracked window. "Come on"

Olivia jumped through and went up to the body lying on the ground, hoping for items. She got more bullets.

Leon jumped through "You okay?" He questioned, referring to the dead zombie and Olivia nodded, pointing at the zombie further behind him, who was slamming his hands into the vending machine. Leon shot at the zombie and they ran past it to go into the West Office.

They searched the place for more items and Olivia found gunpowder and a safe which they needed the code to open. On the other hand, Leon was entering the code to open his desk in which he found a high-capacity mag for Matilda.

He handed it over to Olivia and she smiled in appreciation "Matilda loves this new look" she told him.

He smirked "She doesn't know you didn't put it on correctly"

He liked it when he was able to help Olivia out. He felt needed by her and he felt as if he was protecting her.

"What?" Olivia questioned, looking at the gun and saw that she did, in fact, not put it on correctly. Leon grabbed the gun off of her and attached the mag like it should have been attached.

"Now, she looks amazing," He told her and handed the gun back to her. They both laughed at their silliness.

Seeing Olivia laugh was, what Leon thought, a rare moment. She would smile often politely, however, he had never seen her laugh. He wanted to make it his life's mission to make her laugh as often as possible so he could hear it again. Maybe because it was similar to his ex-girlfriends or maybe it was because it was unique and rarely discovered.

Olivia thought he had a cute laugh. He seemed like he laughed quite a lot, a contagious laugh, however, she could see that behind that laugh, was something that he was hiding; an emotion she couldn't identify. It was frustrating because she liked predictable people as she grew up with having to identify facial expressions, body gestures, etc to match them with emotion. Growing up in a broken home caused that.
