Ada walked through the gates. Leon and Olivia followed after her. "Heard of the Umbrella Corporation? They're a pharmaceutical company secretly making bioweapons. They have a virus - it turns people into indestructible monsters"
"That explains the horrible things we've seen" Olivia replied.
"That's why I'm looking for Annette Birkin" Ada continued. Olivia and Leon recognised the name 'Annette' from the tape. "She's the one at Umbrella responsible for unleashing the virus. I'm going to bring her down" They continued following Ada until they saw a massive sewer opening in the wall. "This is how we get to Annette"
"Based on what you've said, the sewer seems fitting" Leon responded.
"Well said" She stood at the entrance "After you" She looked over at me and Olivia sighed, walking into the sewer. Leon followed closely behind and so did Ada.
"can't imagine a real scientist being down here," Leon said.
"According to HQ, this leads right into Umbrella's secret facility," Ada told them.
"The city runs sewers. Wouldn't the authorities find out if they did have a facility?" Olivia questioned.
"Welcome to corporate America" Ada replied sarcastically "Umbrella's controlled Raccoon City for years"
As they walked forward, there was a huge stomp and some of the ceiling structure fell onto them, not enough to harm them in any way.
"Jesus, that an earthquake?!" Leon exclaimed.
"I sure as hell hope so" Ada responded.
They got to a gate and a huge creature walked past. It growled and roared. It looked like a massive lizard.
"Stay sharp!" Ada exclaimed "God only knows what's down here"
They walked through a small room and into where the creature walked by, finding a huge hole in the gate, meaning that the creature wasn't easy to contain.
They walked further and found handgun ammo. "You guys okay with ammo?" Olivia asked.
Ada nodded. "You take it, Liv" Leon replied so Olivia grabbed it and put it in her hip pouch.
Ada kept walking forward as Leon waited for Olivia, wanting her to keep by his side at all times. Olivia smiled at him before following Ada. Ada stood at the edge of the pathway, where it ended and Leon dropped down into the sewage water. "You sure this is the right way?" He asked Ada.
"Unfortunately" She answered and then there was a bang.
They all looked in the direction of the sound and Leon looked back up at the two "Wait here" He said, protectively. He looked further and the creature popped out, roaring at him.
"Leon! Get out of there!" Ada yelled.
Olivia couldn't help but feel a bit possessive at the sound of Ada yelling for Leon to stay safe. She knew that Ada was just being caring for once but she continued to feel that way.
Leon ran from the creature, dodging its bites. He slid under a pipe and the creature bit into it, making it explode which killed the creature. "Chew on that, you overgrown son of a bitch" Leon muttered.
On the other hand, Ada and Olivia were running to where Leon was. Ada dropped the ladder down for him and he climbed back up.
"Can't say I didn't warn you" Ada said.
"You said the virus turned people into monsters, not reptiles" Leon replied, frustrated.
"Fair point" Ada mumbled "I'm just impressed you made it in one piece"
They walked into an elevator and Olivia leaned back against the wall. Leon kept talking to Ada whilst Olivia was in her own world.
"So let me get this straight: Umbrella sells monsters like that to who? Our military? Somebody else's?"
"They don't sell the monsters" Ada replied "They sell the viruses that make them. Annette is who makes the viruses. Scary as that alligator was... Annette is far more dangerous"
The elevator stopped and Ada walked out first. Olivia huffed and looked at Leon, rolling her eyes, referring to Ada. Leon shrugged his shoulder as he walked into the room.
"You smell like shit" Olivia joked.
Leon chuckled "I think that's the least of our problems at the moment"
They walked into another room and saw Annette kneeling in front of a dead body. Leon pulled out his gun immediately. "Identify yourself"
Ada pulled out her gun as well "Annette Birkin"
As soon as Olivia heard the familiar name, she pulled out her gun. "She's who we're looking for?" She questioned.
Annette stood up "Not much time... need to dispose of it" She said, looking at the dead body in front of them.
Ada walked forward "We're here for the G-Virus" she told Annette, still pointing her gun at the woman.
Annette scoffed "That's not gonna happen"
"I'm warning you, doctor"
"Oh, yeah?" Annette pulled out a lighter and threw it at the body, running off.
We ran after her and she began shooting our way. Ada knelt on the floor to not get hurt.
"Olivia!" Leon called out and got in front of her, to shield her from the bullets. He pulled them both on the ground, away from the bullets as Annette ran off.
When Annette got away, Olivia sat up, seeing blood on Leon's shoulder. He groaned in pain and Olivia panicked "Leon, shit!"
"I'm alright" Leon groaned out again, trying to sit up but Olivia placed a hand on his chest, laying him back down.
"You're not" she stated "You just took a bullet for me, idiot"
Leon chuckled but before he could say anything, Ada muttered "Didn't expect that from a scientist" not paying attention to what was happening. She then turned to the two and saw that Leon was shot "Oh" She then turned to Olivia "Wanna do some surgeon stuff?"
"What?" Olivia questioned.
"Take the bullet out. I'll stop Annette" Ada replied.
Olivia looked back at Leon in worry. She knew she had to do something before the wound got worse. "I trust you" Leon mumbled through discomfort to Olivia and it wasn't a lie. If anyone was to take a bullet out of his body, he would trust Olivia to do it.
Olivia thought about it for a moment before agreeing "I have no other choice"
"Great" Ada passed her tools to use. Olivia was curious as to why Ada had such tools in her trenchcoat but decided not to question her, too worried about Leon's state as he was passing out.
Ada walked off, on a search for Annette as Olivia stayed. Leon was passed out so she had to prop him up so she had a good view of his shoulder. With difficulty, she made him lean against the wall.
Olivia got on her knees and flashed a light so she could see the bullet better. She grabbed the tool and slowly and gently put it into the wound. Once she aligned the tool with the bullet, she pulled it out. If Leon was awake, it'll probably be harder to do.
Olivia grabbed a bandage and wrapped his shoulder. Once she finished, she looked at Leon's face. He was relaxed and looked peaceful. She kissed him softly on the cheek and looked at the wound again before laying her head on his lap.
