Empty Eyes ~ Leon Kennedy FF

Chapter Two

As they ran towards the station, Leon said "You were right. Maybe there are barely any survivors"

Olivia kept quiet, not knowing how to respond to the statement, knowing he was so determined to find other people but now it looked like we had a low chance of finding anyone else.

Olivia saw the station and said "There it is"

They ran in between cars and dodged a few zombies before they got to the front gate. He opened it with ease. "Come on, Liv," He said and tried to grab her hand but he pulled away at the contact, slightly blushing. 

It's not like Leon was touched or never has touched a woman, Olivia was just... different to him. Like, if they did touch, there would be a spark and he was frightened of having such a connection with someone so quickly after his girlfriend broke up with him the night before. He thought that maybe he might hurt another girl because he would unconsciously think that she might be like his ex-girlfriend. He doesn't want to hurt anyone. 

Admittedly, Olivia was also blushing. She thought that Leon might not have seen it, but he did.

Olivia was also frightened of the connection that Leon and she could potentially have. Her father ruined any image she had of men being good to women. Although she knows not everyone is the same, she is scared she will fall into the cycle of abuse and fall for an abusive man... just like her mother. 

Olivia walked away to look around the area whilst Leon locked the gate behind them, keeping the street zombies away from the station. 

There was a lot of trash in front of the station and it smelled horrible. Olivia walked towards a barricaded door and tried to look in between the wooden planks but Leon stopped her from getting too close by speaking "Olivia"

Even though Olivia thought Leon called out for her because he wanted her to follow him, in fact, he didn't want her to get close to the barricaded door in case any zombies tried to snatch her. Though, he would never admit that. He thought that Olivia would not like hearing that either because she looked like the type to say that she could take care of herself and it's not like he doubted it, but he wanted to protect her because if she got hurt, he would never forgive himself, knowing he could have prevented it. The fact that he felt so protective even though they met not even an hour ago, scared him.

When they walked through the doors, the main hall was empty. Olivia walked towards the desk as Leon kept exploring, yelling for any survivors. 

Around the desk, there was a typewriter, a laptop, printers, and a bunch of other stuff lying around, especially documents scattered around the place.

She grabbed the handgun ammo from the desk. "Leon," she said to get his attention and stuck up the ammo.

"No, I'm okay with my ammo at the moment. You have it, Matilda's running low" He told her and she nodded, finding it amusing that he remembered that she named the gun. 

She looked over at the laptop and saw that there were security cameras. "Come here" she exclaimed over to him. He was on the other side of the hall by now, still desperate to find someone. 

He walked over to where she was and they both looked at the cameras. Olivia felt his presence like it was the only thing that was next to her right at that moment. He turned his face to hers. He didn't move back and neither did she, their faces were so close she could feel his breath on her lips.

Olivia's eyes locked him into her trance. Leon knew better than to keep staring but he couldn't help himself.

Olivia cleared my throat, unwillingly moving her head to look at the cameras, seeing someone running. The officer said "David! Marvin! You there? I found a way out! It's in here!" He presented a card to the camera whilst shooting at a zombie who was trying to attack him. "Send reinforcements! East hallway!"
