Chapter Twenty-Seven

They took the closest routes to the church, trying to get to the president's daughter as quickly as possible. They climbed up the ladder up to the map room next to the church and when they went through the door, they circled until they found the front gate of the church.

Olivia placed the church insignia onto the lock and it opened up the gate for them. They both looked at each other before walking through into a cold room with a large circle with coloured pieces in the centre front.

"Ashley Graham! We're here to help!" Leon called out, pulling out his gun in case of any danger around.

They walked around, exploring more of the room and finding supplies. Olivia found a blue dial in one of the drawers in the corner.

Leon found out that most of the entrances were shut so they needed keys to get through. On one of the chairs, though, he found bolts and curiosity peaked, wondering what they were for.

Next to the altar, Olivia found a small key. Leon pulled the lever to reveal three coloured pieces; blue, green and red.

"I found a blue one of these" Olivia stated and took it out of her pocket to place it in the slot.

Soon, the two found out that it was for a puzzle. As Leon moved the dials about, Olivia ordered him which colours to move in what direction until they figured it out and it opened one of the gates to let them through.

They climbed up the ladder and Leon called out again "Ashley? You in there?"

Olivia looked around the place as Leon was smashing barrels for resources. She found a pink flip phone that was cracked on the screen.

She showed it up to Leon and he nodded, pushing the door in the middle slowly "Ashley" He called out, pulling out his gun "Ashley Graham, are you in here?"

A girl leapt forward with something metal in her hands and Olivia dodged it quickly. "Just let me go," The girl said. Obviously, Leon and Olivia assumed it was the girl they were looking for this whole time.

"Hey, hey, hey," Olivia said, putting her hand forward to show that she wasn't of any harm. Ashley started swinging at Olivia again and before Leon could do anything, Olivia blocked it and grabbed it off of her "Easy with that" She said with a deep breath.

She threw it on the ground and Leon introduced himself as Olivia wiped some dust off of herself. "My name's Leon." He then cocked his head towards Olivia "That's Olivia. We're here on the president's orders, and-" he got cut off because Ashley began running off. Leon sighed "That went well" 

Olivia huffed "You just lost the girl we've been going through all this trouble for" 

Leon and Olivia began following Ashley. She stopped in front of a window and Leon spoke up again "Hey, it's dangerous outside. You need to listen to us-"

"What is that?" Ashley questioned, cutting him off "Over there" She pointed.

Olivia and Leon both looked outside with her and saw that there were a bunch of Ganados with weapons and candles. 

"Pursue them," A voice in their heads said and all three of them groaned as their heads began hurting "The lost lambs are escaping. Deliver unto them... salvation"

Leon, Olivia, and Ashley all looked at each other with worry and when they looked back, the Ganados were walking through the gate, towards them. 

"What do we do?" Ashley asked the couple. 

Olivia rolled her eyes "Your father trusts us. And we need you to trust us too, and do exactly what I and Leon say, all right?"

"We're gonna get you home safe" Leon added.
