Chapter Fifteen

They placed the plugs into the right terminals and the door opened. The two went down the stairs to get to Ada but before they could get into the room she was in, they needed to turn on the power.

Olivia flicked the two left switches on, left the third one down and flicked the far right one on and the power turned on.

They both ran towards the doors but there was a massive claw which made a hole in the ceiling and part of the room was set on fire.

The claw tried to catch us but we ran around the room together, trying to dodge it.

"Olivia, watch out!" Leon yelled and grabbed her towards him, pressing her against his body.

The fire spread out further and the creature clawed itself inside of the room. "Just dodge its hits, okay?" Leon said to Olivia and she nodded, running past the creature and running through the door, looking behind her if Leon was following. He was.

They ran to the generator and the container moved to the other side of the room. As Leon distracted it, Olivia pressed the button to swing it back around, hitting the monster. However, the monster climbed back up to the surface and we had to do the process again.

"Get down!" Leon shouted and she listened to him. The monster swung just above her, only just missing her.

Olivia quickly pressed the button again and it moved back to the other side again as Leon distracted the creature. When the container stopped, she pressed the button again and it swung at the monster again. As it was climbing back up again, the container ripped off of the hook and both the monster and the container dropped down.

They both huffed out relief and then ran back to the door, where Ada was.

Olivia pulled the lever and Leon got through the door first "Ada?!" He yelled, "Ada where are you?!"

"Over here!" Ada called out and Olivia and Leon ran in the direction of her voice. When they got to her, she had a shard on the side of her leg. "I can't get it out," Ada told them.

"I'll get it out" Olivia suggested "It's gonna hurt though"

"Just do it. I can't walk like this" Ada snapped.

Olivia raised her eyebrows and knelt in front of her, wrapping her hands around the shard, and pulling it out. Ada grunted in pain and Olivia winced, shivering as she imagined the pain. Leon passed Olivia alcohol solution and Olivia placed it on her leg. "I can do it myself," Ada said.

"Shut up," Olivia said, a hint of humour in her voice. She did care about Ada being hurt.

Olivia wrapped up Ada's leg and Leon asked "So what do we do now?"

"Get yourselves out of here. While you still can" Ada told them.

Olivia looked up at her in confusion "Absolutely not. This place is a dump. If we're gonna leave you, it's gonna be outside of this place" She said sarcastically.

Ada didn't enjoy Leon's or Olivia's company at the beginning, however, she liked Olivia's honesty and her sarcasm. With Leon, though, she did have strong feelings for him but she knew that he and Olivia had a thing therefore she was not going to intrude. 

"You don't understand. The situation's worse than I thought" Ada said.

"You protected us. Now, it's our turn to return the favour" Leon replied, crossing his arms.

"Didn't realise we were keeping score" Ada responded jokingly. Olivia reached out a hand for her to grab so she could stand up easier and she did. "Thanks," She said and Olivia smiled back at her. Ada then noticed the cut on Olivia's face "What happened to you?"

Olivia put a hand to her cheek "Oh, uhm, I might have fought off four of those monsters"

Ada questioned "Four? Impressive. I guess Leon wasn't much help" She joked.

Olivia chuckled "I was the one who suggested splitting up"

"Brave" Ada said and then she continued after a short pause "We have to get to the NEST" Ada told them "Umbrella's lab, right beneath us. Annette let it slip. That's where the virus samples are. You up for this?" She asked Leon and Olivia. 

"Think I can fit it in my schedule" Leon joked.

"Come on, we got work to do" Ada replied, walking forward. "The cable car will take us down to the lab. This wristband's our ticket to ride"

"Where'd you get that?" Olivia asked.

"Borrowed it" Ada replied "Anyway, we're almost there"

As we were walking to the cable car, Ada asked Leon "How's the shoulder?"

"Worse than it looks" He replied.

"What a trio," Ada said "All got one foot in the grave"

When we got to the cable car, Ada opened the door and sat on the bench "This may be a one-way ride, so be prepared"

Leon looked over at Olivia, mentally asking her if it was okay to pull the lever and she nodded at him to start the cable car, sitting down next to Ada.

"This tram is bound for NEST" A voice came out of the speakers "Do not exit until the final destination"

As the cable car started, Leon sat down next to Olivia putting an arm around her shoulder. Leon kissed her on the head and questioned "You know what I was thinking?" Ada felt a little pang of jealousy but didn't let it show and continued to listen to Leon. "I can't wait for the FBI to raid Umbrella headquarters and take those bastards to justice"

"I agree... but to be clear, you're not working in an official capacity," Ada said "This is a federal case. Once we get the G-Virus, I'm back on my own" Both Leon's and Olivia's faces dropped and Ada noticed their expressions "Just trust me, guys. Look, I thought I might need your help... and I was right. If you two can secure the G-Virus, I can make sure what happened in Raccoon City never happens again"

"But you said it yourself - it's a federal case-" Olivia began but Ada cut her off.

"Olivia, look at me" Ada said "I'm a liability now. If I'm gonna finish this case, you two are the last hope I've got"

"We're not just gonna leave you here," Leon said and I agreed.

"It's fine. Don't worry about me" Ada replied "I gotta see this through. I've got plenty to live for... trust me"

"Now, arriving at NEST"

"Go," Ada said "We don't have much time. You'll need this" She said and unclipped the wristband.
