this chapter is totally skippable. it just gives some basic background in her game and how her season before the transfer went. next chapter will basically tell you why she leaves as well.

UConn has had a tough break with injuries already but that didn't seem to stop them last night. It was a record night for many of the girls with the win over Northeastern, 98-39. With a great start to the season, several girls showed off and fought to show that this was their season.

Aaliyah Edward's had an impressive 14 points and 12 rebounds. Azzi Fudd had a great start to the season with 26 points on the scoreboard.

I do have to say that aside from Azzi, one other player managed to catch the attention of everyone watching. That was Willow Walters. Number Forty-Six secured a starting position again this year and seemed to be more determined than we have ever seen her. Maybe it has to do with several of her teammates down, or maybe it was something else. All I know is that we all loved it.

She came out with 34 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. First game of the season and first triple-double. What an impressive start to her season, and I know we all certainly can't wait to see what becomes of her.

UConn's ninth game of the season was last night and it was a big one. Almost half of their roster was out due to injuries but that didn't mean an easy win for Maryland. UConn fought hard, but in the end Maryland pulled through with a score of 85-78. Lou pulled up and dropped 2o points, Dorka with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Everyone fought hard on both ends, but with even more players out, UConn was unable to secure that win. I'm sure that when everyone is back and healthy, a game like this won't be as quick to happen. All loss aside, Willow Walters did it again. So far on the season she's averaging 32 points per game, the leader as of now, which is 6 points better than last year for her.

Her scoring isn't the only impressive part to it. She's leading the league in assists, points and 3-pointers on the season this far. It's so early in the season but we need to keep an eye on her.

Against Maryland, Willow had 27 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals. 6 of her 27 points were from free throws. She's 96% from the free throw line this season. I'm sure that even though it was a tough loss, the Uconn girls are out there getting better and better.

espn article 37:

UConn was unable to take home the win once again. With several players coming back from their injuries one would think that they would be able to close, but unfortunately that was not the case last night. UConn played St. John's in a nail biter. With the final score of 84-89, you can see how close it ended. Sadly they couldn't close the gap.

Lou put up an impressive 20 points last night with Dorka following right after with 18 and 10 rebounds. Azzi Fudd is back and getting better than ever with 14 points last night.

We all know who stole the show though. Last week she put up her fifth game of the season where she scored over 40 points. I'm surprised that Geno allows that type of behavior, but with a roster holding so many injuries you almost need that spark. Yesterday, Willow had a solid 35 points on the night. To follow up with that she had 12 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks. We don't see her block much but when she gets going, her stats go way up. UConn had a tough game, but St. John's proved to be the better of the two.
