"You were amazing."

Lando had his arm slung around Gabi's shoulders as the two of them walked down the streets of Hamburg. It was almost midnight, and Lando was sure that Gabi was exhausted, but when she'd suggested they go out and walk he couldn't turn down the offer.

"Really? I messed up the chorus of 'Skin', but I don't think anyone noticed." She bit her nail, adjusting her tank top with the other hand. She'd changed clothes somewhere between getting off stage, and meeting Lando in front of her hotel. It hadn't taken much to convince Oscar to leave him alone for the night--the boy had a pretty good idea of what was going on between Lando and Gabi, he was also smart enough not to ask.

He rolled his eyes. "No one noticed. They were too distracted by your pretty dress."

"I think you mean you  were distracted by my pretty dress."

Lando used his arm to pull her closer into him, nudging her hip with his own. "You're goddamn right I was distracted, especially when that surprise song came out."

She laughed and leaned her head against his shoulder. "Yeah, I thought it would be funny. You're face was golden."

"What can I say, you caught me by surprise." Lando laughed. "Interesting dance moves up there, too."

She smirked at him. "I think you should now by now that I have interesting dance moves."

"Mmm." Lando kissed her forehead. "Thank you for reminding me of London."

A scoff left Gabi's lips. "Here I was thinking you didn't need to be reminded. I thought that would live in your mind rent-free."

He laughed, kicking a pebble in front of him. Lando knew that this was a stupid idea--being out with her in a public place--but he hoped their covers were good enough. She was wearing a zip up hoodie that covered her hair, Lando was wearing a hat and baggy clothes. They looked like any other couple.

You're not a couple, don't think like that, Lando.

"What's wrong?"

He snapped his gaze back to her and realized he'd removed his hand from her shoulder, slipping it into his pocket in his daze. "Hm?"

Gabi narrowed her eyes. "You looked deep in thought."

"Just thinking about tomorrow."

She looked at the ground. "I don't leave tomorrow. My flight isn't for Wednesday."

"I don't have to be in the Netherlands until Wednesday."

The two of them fell silent and kept walking until he felt her hand slip into his pocket, intertwining their fingers as heat rushed through his body. It was such a small gesture, it would seem like nothing, but as they held hands and strolled through the sidewalks, Lando felt his heart swell.

The next time he checked his watch, it was almost two in the morning and he wondered where the time went.

"Oh!" Her hand slipped out of his as Gabi ran over to a small concession stand on the corner. She smiled and turned back to him. "Look at this!"

Lando met her in front of the stand and furrowed his eyebrows at what she was smiling at.

They looked like chocolates, wrapped in red foil and stacked on top of eachother. It didn't seem super special, but Gabi was practically squealing as she peered over the desk.

"They're candies, I used to have them all the time in Poland." She explaing as Lando leaned next to her on the desk, placing his hand on her lower waist while he reached into wallet.

"How much for a bag?"

They took their chocolates and made their way back to her hotel, Lando's hand never leaving her side.

When they finally made it to the hotel, Lando decided to play it safe.

"What if I picked you up tomorrow?" He was holding her hand, standing outside the hotel lobby and trying his hardest not to kiss her. "We could spend the day."

Gabi was smiled and looked down at her shoes. "I'd be okay with that. As long as you don't wear that stupid McLaren hat."

"I won't wear the hat." Lando tilted his head down at her. "I promise."

"Cool."

"Cool."

Lando brought his head down to hers, giving her a soft kiss while his hands rested on her waist. She smiled against his lips, leaning into him so Lando could hold her correctly. In that moment, neither of them cared who saw them or how vulnerable they were.

When Lando was led upstairs to her hotel room, they kissed in the elevator and again outside her door. They got in bed, still kissing and holding eachother as the lights were turned off.

They kissed, nothing more, until they fell asleep and Lando realized that he wouldn't have to pick her up tomorrow. No, he had the pleasure of waking up next to her.
