"Fuck you, Lilly."

"I didn't know he was going to be here!" Lilly exclaimed. "Max told me Lando wasn't supposed to come. He said he was very sure that he wasn't."

Gabi whipped her head to where Lilly was standing by the door. "I don't fucking care! I don't want to see him, I don't want to talk to him, I don't want to smell him, I don't want to be within four fucking feet of him, Lilly."

"I know, Gabi, and I'm sorry but you have to understand that I told you everything I knew!" Lilly sat down on the bed. "I'm sorry, Gabi."

She sighed, sitting down on the bed in defeat. "It's not your fault. This is just not how I wanted this to happen. This isn't how I wanted to see him. Not that I did, or do."

Lilly rubbed Gabi's shoulder affectionately.

The worst part about this situation was that Gabi was almost positive that Lando had no idea she was coming either and he was in the exact same situation as her.

"I guess it doesn't matter, though." Gabi stood. "I'm leaving, anyway."

"What?" Lilly practically shrieked.

"Jesus christ, keep your voice down." Gabi shushed her.

She crossed her arms. "You're not leaving, Gabrielle Lena Bosko. You are staying on this boat."

"Why?" Gabi could find no reason.

Lilly blinked and hesitated. "Because...if you leave, then he wins. And he gets to vacation and drink and have fun. You'll just be rotting alone in New York." Lilly leaned forward. "You should be the one vacationing and drinking and having fun. Don't give him the pleasure."

She was right. Gabi couldn't give Lando the satisfaction of leaving him all the fun. She wanted to drink and party with rich people and not think about her new album.

Defiantly, she slipped out of her sweatpants and hoodie, and pulled on linen pants and tank top. She looked casual compared to everyone else on board, but she had less than a fuck to give. She was going to go this whole trip ignoring Lando, even if it killed her.

"I'm hungry. Let's go get fucked up." She turned to Lilly. They hooked arms and made their way down the hallway as the faint sound of house music grew louder.

The first thing Gabi noticed was Bridget. Bridget was...smiling? A very rare occurrance, and the fact that it was Oscar Piastri who was making her grin was even more shocking.

"Oh, hey guys! We're about to eat dinner, come sit." Carmen noticed them first and waved them over. Gabi put on her bravest face and made her way over to the table while Lilly met Max in the kitchen, however her expression turned sour.

There were no good options at the table. He was in the corner, sat next to Max and Niran, and the only open seats were directly in front of him or between Oscar and George.  Oscar wasn't the most talkative and George was a little weird, if Gabi was being honest, but none of her other options seemed much better.

Fuck me.

"This seat free?" Gabi mumbled to Oscar who looked up at her with the fear of God in his eyes.

He stuttered. "Uh, y-yeah. It's free."

She smiled, thankful that she could sit on the complete opposite side of the table. And at least Oscar was kind enough. They'd shared a car on the way here after he recognized her at the Miami airport. Even through his awkward demeanor and the somewhat uncomfortable situation they were in (seeing as there was bad blood between her and his teammate), they'd actually gotten along well. Gabi felt relieved that there was at least one other person she could find solace in besides her close friends.
