Gabi was fidgeting anxiously in the parking lot while she waited for her two best friends to walk out of the elevator. She'd gotten there almost half an hour early just to be sure she wouldn't be late, even Lando had told her she was overshooting it. But Gabi was too excited and filled with anticipation to see Lilly and Bridget.

"Ahhhhhh!" Gabi squealed as Lilly walked out of the elevator, with Bridget right behind her. They were both wearing basically pajamas--sweatpants and hoodies with messy hair and neck pillows wrapped around them. Neither of them enjoyed flying, so their immediate expressions were that of extreme fatigue and anger, however when they saw Gabi their faces lit up and they ran over to her.

"Oh my God!" Lilly exclaimed, throwing her arms around Gabi and leaving room for Bridget to join them in a group hug. "We're here! We're actually here!"

Bridget pulled away with a rare smile painting her lips. "Yes we are. Shotgun!"

"Fuck you."

Gabi laughed and beckoned for the girls to follow her to the car. "Just get in the fucking car, we'll have time to curse eachother out later."

"How on earth are you driving an Audi?" Lilly had reluctantly taken the backseat while Bridget aggressively rubbed her eyes.

"Because her boyfriend is rich as fuck, what do you think?" Bridge scoffed, turning to face Gabi. "About that...boyfriend? Sneaky link? Situationship?"

"Ooooh, good question." Lilly chimed in, leaning her elbows on the center console as Gabi pulled out of the parking lot.

She rolled her eyes. "I don't know. Together, but not, like, dating. It's complicated."

Bridget and Lilly shared concerned looks.

"Wait, so are you guys just fucking? Friends with benefits?" Bridget was never the one to conceal her tone--if she was going to say something, she was going to say it straight up.

Gabi shook her head. "No, not friends with benefits, that's weird. More like...privately acting like we're dating but without the label, and publicly we have met once and never spoken to eachother since."

"That's totally healthy." Bridget rolled her eyes so hard Gabi thought she might get them stuck there.

"If she's happy then it doesn't matter." Lilly whacked Bridget on the arm and turned back to Gabi. "Um, so what's the plan today?"

Gabi changed lanes. "Uhh...hotel first, Lando will come say 'hi'. You guys can relax and then we can go get dinner. Practice is tomorrow so Lando's gonna be busy. We probably won't go since it will be empty, but Quali is the day after and we'll go to that. Then race day. Then some partying."

"You had me at partying."

"Shut up, Bridget, you're an alcoholic."

Bridge scoffed. "Coming from the Polish? Speaking of which...we're drinking tonight."

"Of course we are. Not even a question." Lilly said that like it was obvious. "We're in the Netherlands on vacation, I didn't come here to be sober."

"Who's the alcoholic now." Gabi grinned.

By the time they got to the hotel, the three girls were practically pissing themselves with laughter. Gabi had gotten a suite for the three of them--there were three beds and two bathrooms, including a small kitchen/living room. It might've been an aggressive purchase, but it was worth it to see the looks of excitement on their faces when she opened the door.

"So, can I live here?" Bridget looked up from her bed on the far side.

Lilly shouted from the other side. "Me too!"

"I'm glad you guys like it." Gabi smiled, pleased with herself that she could treat her friends so well. "Okay, so. We are going to get dressed and go out for drinks with some of Lando's friends, sound good?"

Lilly squealed as she hopped out of bed and started to dig through her duffel bag. "I have the perfect outfit!"

Gabi collapsed onto Bridget's bed while Lilly locked herself in the bathroom to shower and clean up.

"I'm so happy you guys could make it." Gabi smiled. "I don't know what I would've done without you."

Bridget rolled her eyes but Gabi could see the grin on her face. "You would've been doing your little driver boyfriend."

"Not my boyfriend."

"Ah, but you still would've been doing him, right?" Bridget was always the clever one out of the three. Gabi had the voice, Lilly had the creativity, and Bridget had the smarts. Sometimes Gabi wondered how they were friends--they were completely different, but she guessed opposites attract. Bridget was originally from a small town in Alabama (I know right) and had a wonderful family of seven, all of whom grew up to get their degrees and live a successful life somewhere in North America. Sometimes when she was reciting papers, Gabi could hear a faint Southern accent in Bridget's voice.

Gabi sighed. "All I care about right now is you guys. And having fun with you!"

Bridget smiled, a rare occurance but it wasn't for lack of excitement. "I'm happy you brought us. Thank you, Gabs. Seriously."

The singer wrapped her arms around the businesswoman, squeezing her into a hug so tight she swore it was suffocating.

"Okay, now get up and get moving. Those martinis aren't going to drink themselves. "
