Chapter Twelve

Hey, choco chips,

So I wanna clear out a few things, this story mostly revolves around Adaliah as she is the main character. Adaliah doesn't have her own character as she is taught by her mother to adapt her character from the situation. She reacts to the situation according to the people around her.

As Diaz's brothers are cold, demanding, aggressive, and arrogant so she adapts their character. Adaliah's real character will only come out at the end of the story.

Many of you think, Adaliah is too smart for her age so she is well-trained for this world beforehand and two more things define why she is this smart and intelligent in the upcoming chapters.

All the truths will come out after chapter 20.

And please put on your seatbelts for this rollercoaster ride of emotions. Because in the next chapter, you will meet Adaliah's Vinny baby and maybe you will see a little bit of Adaliah's real character with hos presence.

And a small revelation will be there with Mr Venturo Ruiz.

Chapter Name: Promises are the sweetest lies.

Third-person pov:

Diaz's brothers stiffened at her question because they didn't expect that question to come from her, especially not this early. Yes, she was too smart for her tiny age but they still didn't expect her to suspect them this early. It's like she is breaking through their thick wall of lies and darkness.

Adaliah watched each one of their expression, especially their eyes. The voice of her mother rings in her head: "When someone lies, their pupils dilate"

Klaus smiled lightly and tried to speak off: "Hey Little one, What are you?"

She exclaimed shaking her head: "Vito, you tell me"

Vito gulped looking at her and then back at hos brothers. It's not like he can't lie but with Adaliah it is so difficult to lie. Vito bit his bottom lip and spoke smiling: "I'm not sure what are you trying to ask?"

Adaliah said smiling up at him: "you think, I'm stupid and don't know anything"

Vincente sighed and rubbed his temple then nodded at Klaus who shook his head but Nyx shrugged: "She isn't gonna run away if you tell her right now but she will definitely kill us if she finds out about this from outside"

Ezra huffed glaring at them: "Stop pretending like she is a weapon or something. She is just a kid, my sweet chipmunk"

Adaliah heart melted at his concern and how he was just ignoring the fact that Adaliah wasn't a sweet and innocent kid. But she stopped herself from smiling at Ezra who was too cute in her eyes but they always say sweet things to her mother and at the end they all hurt her.

Adaliah spoke confidently again: "You think I no saw Nyx come from the other side of the house with blood all over his clothes? I know diffence between blood and color. I saw a gun in Ezra's room and Vito talking to someone about killing someone"

Ezra gasped and Nyx shrugged saying: "Like I fucking care about you watching me in bloody clothing. Or ripping someone's heart out. It's not like you didn't do anything like this"
