Chapter Forty-Five

Diaz's siblings are in the cars driving towards the school in their different cars and Adaliah is in the passenger seat with Ezra driving. Ezra is driving the car at the speed of a turtle while Adaliah throws her head back and rolls her eyes from time to time.

Adaliah watched from the corner of her eyes as a bicycle crossed them and disappeared from the corner taking a left. Adaliah rolled her eyes at him and grumbled: "Ezy If you keep going at this, we will reach school at the end of the day"

Ezra glances at her for a second then frowns: "But chipmunk, I can't risk you"

Adaliah glared at him: "But you can let my image ruin on the very first day of school"

Ezra pouted cutely and mumbled: "Okie"

Adaliah watched him as he stopped the car at the side of the road and Adaliah rolled her eyes saying: "what's the point of stopping the car when I could have jumped from this turtle car"

Ezra buckled her up more securely and when he was sure, she was perfectly secure in the seat. He sighed and started driving again and this time a little faster but still slow enough to make her grumble under her breath.

Adaliah let out a loud sigh as soon as the school building came into her view. She watched all her other siblings standing near their cars with their guards surrounding them in a safe circle.

Ezra hopped out of the car and walked towards her side then opened the door for Adaliah. He helped her unbuckle the seatbelt and grabbed her hand helping her hop off the car. She watched as Klaus walked towards her with his polite and charming smile decorating his dark features.

He looks like he is the most respectable and polite man but behind his charming smile is hidden a monster who can go to any lengths to protect his family, even sacrificing his life also.

Ezra smiled at her softly then nodded at Klaus who grabbed Adaliah's small hand in his bigger one. Adaliah's eyes followed towards Nyx who was leaning on his bike with his arms crossed over his chest and his eyes glaring at the space with a clenched jaw.

Vincente is staring at Adaliah with a soft look on his dark features. But Adaliah's jaw clenched hard when she saw some high school girls starting at times brothers. She doesn't like the way they are looking at her brothers.

Nyx looked at Adaliah and his dark features softened when his green eyes met her warm brown ones. She gave him a sign through her eyes to Nyx who looked at the group of girls and boys staring at them.

Nyx smirked at her and she smiled back happily then looked back at Ezrawho holding her black leather backpack which Vito specially designed for her.

She looked down at her outfit as she watched students around her age walking towards the school building. Most of the girls wear colours like pink, yellow, red and all.

Ezra gently patted her hair down: "You are the most beautiful girl, I have ever seen and will ever see in future"

Adaliah's heart warmed when he understood her concern and knew what to say to make her feel good. Klaus said gently: "Let's get going"

Adaliah nodded as she heard a loud roar of the engine and then a loud voice yelling: "My almost human looking but an angel child"

Her heart skipped a beat as the burst of happiness she felt inside her chest. She wasn't showing it but she wanted all her brothers here with her on her first day of school, her special day. She isn't a fan of school but still, it's a special day for her.

Vito parked the bike right next to Ezra's car and jumped off almost losing his balance but he chuckled awkwardly at her and rushed to her giddily making her chuckle and roll her eyes at him.
