Chapter Sixty-One

The Diaz brothers and doctors stood in the hospital room staring at the pair with wide shocked eyes trying to believe their eyes. They couldn't believe their eyes.

It was miracle in their medical history that a patient who lost his will to live, is standing on his own legs and the patient who was brutally beaten and took two bullets is up after 14 hours.

After waiting for 12 hours, when Adaliah didn't wake up as her heart rate dropped suddenly. The doctors rush to help her but she wasn't responding to anything until a voice reached her ears.

Ezra rushed in the hallway to Adaliah room stumbling on his way as the Diaz brothers hold him back as he watched from the glass door, the doctors trying to calm her heart beat, but nithing was working. Ezra yelled crying while trying to push the door: "Leave me. My chipmunk"

Ezra pushed the door open until Nyx hold him as Ezra called out: "Chipmunk, My chipmunk wake up"

Those words were enough to pull Adaliah back from any world she was. Ezra cried trying to free himself from Nyx arms who tried coaxing him: "Ezra calm down, she will be okay"

Ezra cried loudly: "Chipmunk"

Adaliah heart beat slowly went back to normal as she furrowed her eyebrows as the doctors  immediately started checking her while she mumbled in her unconscious state: "Ezy"

Ezra eyes widened when he heard her soft angelic voice and he stopped struggling in Nyx hold who stared down at Ezra who cried softly: "She, My chipmunk"

Nyx furrowed his eye brows as she mumbled once again: "Ezy"

All of their eyes widened in surprise hearing her voice as Nyx left Ezra who rushed inside the room before others can react and pushed his way through the team of doctors to Adaliah's side. He hold her tiny hand in his bigger ones and smiled gently: "Chipmunk, My sweet chipmunk. Wake up, see your Ezy is here"

Adaliah's eyes moved as Ezra smiled tiredly through the pain in his heart of seeing his sweetest baby in such condition: "My beautiful chipmunk. Do you want Vito to go and buy you your favorite banana shake? Just say it, I will make him get his lazy ass run all the way to get your favorite Oreo shake"

Adaliah mumbled unconsciously: "Ezy"

Ezra smiled wide tapping her cheeks: "Yes Chipmunk, it's me your Ezy"

Adaliah slowly opend her eyes, as pain shot through her side making her shut her eyes tightly. Ezra smiled: "My chipmunk"

One of the doctor nodded at the other who injected something in the IV bottle as Adaliah mumbled through the pain: "Ezy"

Ezra looked at her teary eyes and cried hugging her tightly: "chipmunk  my chipmunk. I love you so much. Please don't you dare to do anything like this ever"

Adaliah winced in pain making Ezra immediately pull away from her and stared at her with guilty eyes: "Sorry chipmunk"

Adaliah eyes moved to the glass door as she can see all her brothers except Vincente as she smiled softly at them making Nyx covered his face with both hands and slide against the wall as the tears of happiness, the hidden pain and overwhelmed feelings of the last few hours just run down his face through tears.

Klaus sat down next to Nyx and wrapped his arms around him while tears kept rolling down his face. He wanted to comfort Nyx but his tears and broken voice was betraying him as Vito was crying standing at the door staring at her through the glass.

Vito wanted to hug someone but Klaus was trying to calm himself and Nyx down while Ezra was inside with Adaliah. Vito wiped his tears trying to be strong and stay calm until a hand wrapped around his wrist and pulled him to his chest.
