Chapter Forty

Adaliah woke up with someone shaking her small body and she just wanted to slam the person's head in the wall for ruining her beauty sleep. From the day Vito told her that sleeping makes you beautiful, she would try to sleep anytime and anywhere she felt like saying: "I need to maintain my beauty"

Diaz's siblings were laughing their asses off when she fall asleep in the middle of the road just when Vito took her out for Ice cream and he took longer to come back after using the washroom. Vito had to drag her to his bike and tie his jacket around her to himself while he drove back home.

Vito doesn't mind because he loves every second of spending time with her. Diaz's siblings got a few ducks in the pond behind their house as they promised Adaliah to get her real ducks. There is a caretaker for their care.

Adaliah's room is ready in a black and red theme and Nyx even commented on her room design saying: "That looks like a playroom"

Adaliah was confused because it was her bedroom, not the playroom. After all, her playroom was downstairs near the stairs and right next to Ezra's room. There is even a door to go to his room directly because Ezra wanted his little chipmunk as close as he could.

Adaliah asked Nyx: "It's my bedroom, not the playroom"

Nyx asked shrugging: "Just lend me your room for a few nights"

Adaliah asked glaring at him: "And where will I sleep"

Nyx said simply: "in my room of course"

Klaus walked into the room and growled at him: "Stop ruining the child's innocence"

Nyx said chuckling: "I didn't even say anything like that to her"

Adaliah growled at him: "Go and get your own playroom. It's mine"

Nyx choked on the air and walked out of the room when Klaus glared at him darkly, holding his hands up in surrender. Klaus said smiling sweetly at her: "Little one, ignore him"

Adaliah was still confused but decided to leave it for now. Adaliah now sleeps in her own room but one of her brothers sleeps with hwr mostly Ezra and Nyx because Vito is busy dealing with a few things in Mafia.

Vito is all sunshine type until he gets angry and the day he sees someone following them around, especially Adaliah. He found hundreds of pictures of her here and when they went to Italy, even her pictures with Lilah.

Vincente immediately took action and informed Luciano about the threat so they would be careful. Adaliah wasn't sure why her brothers were busy these days and why Nyx went missing every early morning and came back to dinner with new hoodies every day.

Of course, she js aware of the danger that is lurking in the shadows behind her each step and she is well aware of who is coming for her. But this time, she will end this threat.

Adaliah didn't just attend different big events with the Royals and another businessman for fun. She wanted him to see her and come after and now she has succeeded in her plan. He is behind her and this time, it will be him who will end in the darkness.

Adaliah grumbled knowing very well that it was not morning as the sunlight wasn't in her room right now. Klaus spoke in a soft tone: "C'mon my beautiful little one, open your gorgeous eyes for us"

Ezra groaned in annoyance: "Hey that's my line"

Klaus looked at him and then shrugged: "Say my lines then we are equal"

Ezra grumbled out: "chipmunk, wake up. It's time to up"

Klaus looked at him with a frown and said in disbelief: "I don't talk this arrogantly"
