Chapter Fifty-Two

Chapter 52
Klaus hopped off the car and walked towards Adaliah’s side who waited not so patiently for Klaus to help her out from this death choking seatbelts. This is what she calls them because she feels caged and suffocating. She doesn't feel in control as she can't fight evil if something happens.

Klaus opened the door for her, making her pull out of his thoughts. Klaus unbuckled her seatbelt and helped her out of the car. She stretched her limbs and Klaus grabbed her school bag and the other bag of her necessary.

Adaliah walked ahead of Klaus in the big building as Klaus stopped by his guards and throw his car keys saying: “careful”

The guard bowed down as Klaus walked towards Adaliah who was now standing in front of the big glass doors glaring at the two guards who were staring down at her with confused eyes.

Klaus stepped beside her and the guards bowed down and opened the door for them. Adaliah glared more intensely as they apologised: “We apologise, Miss Diaz”

Klaus said in a low tone: “Inform the whole firm about her arrival so no one would mess with her”

Adaliah smiled at Klaus who was a bit confused at her cute act but shrugged and followed her like a lost puppy holding her bags. Klaus called out as she walked passed the lift: “Little one, we have to go to 38th floor”

Adaliah's eyes widened slightly as she rushed back to Klaus who pressed a button and she waited not to paintienly bounce on her toes. Klaus hid a smile as she grinned wider when the door opened and she rushed inside first as Klaus walked behind her.

Adaliah touched everything in the reach as Klaus pressed the floor and waited for the lift to reach their floor. Adaliah asked with wide eyes: “How does this work?”

Klaus nodded and explained to her how the lift works as the door opened in a beautiful penthouse. Adaliah’s eyes widened as she realised the door opened directly to a huge house. Adaliah looked at Klaus who nodded at her so she took off to the huge glass wall.

She never saw anything like this till now and this experience is so new and exciting to her. She behaves like a mature woman but at the end of the day she is still a toddler who is excited to see new things and stuff.

Adaliah looked through the glass wall with wide eyes, her warm brown eyes shining with the happiness of seeing something this exciting. Klaus walked to the couch and placed her bags on the couch saying: “little one”

Adaliah grumbled in annoyance because Klaus ruined the pretty sight of her: “what?”

Klaus rolled his eyes at her saying: “come here”

Adaliah let out a sigh and walked towards him as he said gently: “First you gonna go and freshen up and changed into some other clothes while I will order something for you to eat then you can do whatever you want”

Adaliah nodded, then asked a little confused at the fact that Klaus has another house: “It's a house. Why do you have another house?”

Klaus watched her eyes showing confusion and also a little bit concerned behind those beautiful eyes. Klaus sat down on the couch and pulled Adaliah in his lap and wrapped his eyes around her small frame saying : “shoot, what's going on in this tiny head?”

Adaliah asked in a low whisper: “You leaving us?”

Klaus said smiling kissing her cheek: “never my sweet little one, I'm never leaving you or our brothers”

Adaliah nodded as she sighed in relief and Klaus added: “And this house is just like another place for me to stay sometimes. Like when I'm busy with a case and work till late night, I stay in this house because it's easier for me to get to work easily”
