Let's go to Vegas, I said. But I didn't expect that Luna's parents wouldn't let her go unless they talked to a responsible adult. The only adults were Luna — she apparently doesn't count because she isn't responsible —, me, and the group of serial killers.
At first, I wanted to abandon this whole idea because I thought Luna's parents knew about Henry's job but she let me know that her parents don't watch the news. They don't even know who's the president or who are the top celebrities of this generation. They don't even know Tangled.
So here we are, in front of Luna's house, knocking on her door.
"I hope I didn't wear this suit for nothing," Matteo complained as he loosened the tie around his neck. In order to make them look more respectable, I told them to wear their best suits.
Henry didn't seem to mind it.
Reed was excited to wear it, taking a thousand photos on our way here.
Matteo on the other hand, wanted to get out of this suit as fast as he could. I don't understand why because he looks good in it.
"I hope we didn't come here for no reason," Henry murmured from beside me. He was still hungover from last night.
His hand was around my waist, my right hand interlocked with his.
"Well, if you act like I taught you, then it won't be a problem." I looked up at him and he was already looking at me. Even with hangover eyes, Henry still managed to make me feel some type of way.
They need to follow five simple steps:
1 — be respectful;
2 — agree to whatever they are saying;
3 — told them you will protect their daughter no matter what;
4 — laugh at whatever joke they are saying (even if it's the driest joke ever);
5 — try not to be yourselves."Coming!" The familiar voice of the girl with lilac hair was heard from the inside of the house and I straightened my back, took a deep breath in, and waited to see my friend.
When the door opened, I saw a Luna I'd never seen before. She was dressed in a dress that almost matched the colour of her hair, the lilac hair was let loose with curls that perfectly bounced — and maybe I was jealous my hair didn't look like that — every time she walked. She had grey low heels that covered her feet.
"Eva!" She yelled my name and jumped into my arms, hugging away the air that I had in me.
I had to let go of Henry's hand so I could hug her back and I'm sure he was very grumpy because of it, his low murmured voice confirmed it. "Ah, it's so good to see you!"
We hugged for a few more seconds until she broke the hug. Luna looked at me with a smile then turned her gaze towards the boys. "If you blow this up, I will get an Ouija board and put spirits to follow you in Las Vegas, alright?"
