Sandra and Mason watched as Maddox dominated the course with the older teens and warriors.

"You can't tell me that this is normal. Something is not right Mason!" Sandra says to her mate.

"You're right, it's not normal. But what can we do about it? The Moon Goddess makes no mistakes, and our boy was created to be more than just an Alpha. We can watch, observe, and give him advice and guidance if that's what he needs, but that's all!" Mason snaps before walking closer to the training field.

Mason could understand that she was concerned, but he didn't want to make Maddox feel like some sort of science project. Her constantly on his back about the situation got old really fast and at this point he was simply annoyed.

It had been two years since Maddox shifted for the first time, and there had been no problems. Mason would constantly ask his son how he was doing, and he would always say the same thing. That he felt absolutely amazing.

They could only take it as it is, and as far as Mason could tell, his son and his wolf had a great bond. Which was something that was very important.

"You're training like you're ready to become Alpha any day now! You were great out there son!"

"Thanks old man." Maddox responds with red tinted cheeks.

.......

When morning finally rolled around, even though he had slept on the cold ground with rocks pressed into his back, it was the best night of Maddox's life so far.

His eyes glued to her face, just taking her in. Her long eyelashes resting on her warm chocolate skin, her curly gray hair was so soft he couldn't help but run his fingers through it. Ending at her small nose and plump pink lips that he was very tempted to kiss, but instead settled for a lingering kiss on her forehead.

Pulling back, he noticed Amora had a soft smile playing on her lips as she gazed at him. "Good morning gorgeous."

"I never apologized for the things that my mother said, she was out of line for that."

Amora quickly shook her head at him. "She said what she felt and that's that. Do you feel some kind of way about me being a witch?"

"Of course I do!" Her face dropped at his words. "It's fucking amazing how you can be around without being seen, and you started a fire with your mind! That shit is lit! Literally!"

"Witch, warlock, troll, it doesn't matter. The Goddess created you as you are and you're my other half. I would never question her, just like I would never judge you." Maddox says softly.

Amora had never put too much thought into what her mate would be like. Since the couples that she saw growing up didn't seem like they were happy, she felt like she could move on her own without the extra baggage.

Maddox could tell that his words did very little to reassure her, but with the little that she had told him, he would never stop trying to show her that she is so much more than what she thinks.

"We should head back. They might think that I've killed or sacrificed you by now." Maddox chuckled as Amora rolled her eyes at her own words. He couldn't help how his eyes moved over her backside as she got up from beside him.

"Race you back!" Maddox says quickly to distract himself.

Amora turned and started to laugh at him before saying, "How is that even fair? I don't know my way back."

"That means it'll be impossible for me to lose." Maddox says before shifting and taking off.

With a giant smile on her face, Amora let her wolf have control and quickly caught up to Maddox.
