Quick thought: As of today part 1 of 10000 thoughts has 248 reads. I am impressed by this.
To continue, I don't know where I got this but this is from my second journal.
10 commandments of Focus:
1. Never forget your most valuable asset.
- Asset is what you own and control.
- Time has no value to anyone.
"Presence" (most valuable asset)
2. Always know where your focus is best spent.
- Understand where it's being stolen from you.
3. Energy Fuel Focus
- Is the goal to be busy or to be effective?
4. Close those cognitive loops.
- Keep a second brain (Journal) (Brain Dump)
5. You got to set clear priorities.
- Stop wasting time doing things that don't matter = The Eisenhower Matrix
DO: urgent and important
DELAY: important but not urgent
DELEGATE: urgent but not important
DELETE: neither urgent nor important
6. Never set a goal without a system.
- Goal Setter (x) Goal Getter (/)
- Implementation & Intention
What are you gonna do?
When are you gonna do it ?
You own your schedule or schedule own you?
7. Guard your Intentions.
- Intention maintenance system: What's my outcome?
8. You have to lift mental weights daily.
- Make time for walking, journaling, praying, and chess.
9. Optimize Your Environment
- Auditory Optimization (Quiteness)
- Visual Optimization (Clean)
- Vibe Optimization ( Fortress of Focus)
10. Execute a Focus Ritual
- Clear your desk
- Set a timer
- Light a candle
- Noise cancelling headphones
- Stare at the point of the pen for 30 seconds
- Take a whiff of boom boom???
I don't know what is that last part, but it sure is funny without any context.
