Flash Back to the Accident Two years ago
"I have an envelope to deliver for a Ms. Diana Collins, please." Katie said nervously to the lady at the front desk. She knew she was taking a gamble of being identified later, but the ethical it was the ethical thing to do. She had to warn the Collins about doing business with Williams Construction. She saw in the news that the Collins Hotel Empire was looking to expand with several hotels through New England. Rumors where that Collins talk thinking of partners with Williams Construction for the expansion. After looking at Williams's business and personal life she was sure it would be a bad decision. She put together a ten-page report, noting source, articles, legal records, public record and packaged it together to deliver to Diana Williams at their main office. Knowing it would be easier to ensure she received it. Posing as a delivery massager was her best option. The lady's who name was Julie took the large envelope in her hands without question and tucked it under her arm. She then walked around the desk to sign the fake receipt Katie doctored up. Just then screaming came from outside. Julie and Katie both rushed out and saw a car speeding down the road. Ms. Williams had just stepped out of her car and was walking across the street. Katie did not think. She ran and tackled Ms. Williams to the pavements. At the last moment she turned them so Diana landed on top of her. She on the other hand fell hard and cracked her elbow and head against the pavement. She was dazed when felt someone lifting her head up to check on her. "Oh my god, you saved my life. Are you ok my dear?" Diana asked looking about to cry. She then saw a familiar face of Julie and told her to call the Police and an ambulance. Julie in her hast dropped the folder that under her arm just in front of them. "Please, no ambulance I'm fine." Katie insisted. "No, no you need to be checked out by a doctor. I will be covering all your medical bills and I di not want to hear any argument on it deary. It is the least I can do." Diane said. "Ms. Williams, I am fine and I if you want to make it up to me, I ask only you and your husband look at the envelope there, and then conduct your own review before making any decisions" Katie said pointed to the dropped manilla envelope while carefully standing up. When Diane stood and walked the couple of feel away Katie turned and started to run despite the pain in her side, head and elbow down the street. She heard Diana call out, but just wanted to get back to the car she has waiting around the corner and her driver to take her home.
