Monday

The following morning Kathleen walked through the office lobby and was greeted with congratulations from each security member and a few members of the company that she knew from reviewing personal files over the years, but never met in person. Instead of going to her office Ryan's office. |Ms. Fitzgerald, good morning and congratulations again on being the CEO." Molly said.

"Ryan is waiting for you in his office. Your brother Laim is also will him."

"Thank you, Molly," Katie said knocking and then walking into the office.

"Welcome Ms. CEO" Liam teased. "Good morning cousin." Ryan said gesturing to her to join them at the small conference table in his office. I was for informal small meetings usually to go over assignments with team members.

"Thank you for fitting me in this morning. I am not here as the CEO through. I am here as your cousin and a potential client. I will be using the same car service each day to get to and from work. They are on retainer for the family. I want to add an extra layer of security to that. I am weeks shy of being 21 and know that stepping into the public eye as CEO and as a Fitzgerald comes with risks." She said and saw her brother and cousin relax. She knew it wayed on their minds. Being as wealthy of family as they were a came with its built-in challenges. All her brother and cousins worked out and were trained in some self-defense or martial arts, but very few people knew that. It was always better to be prepared and have those would come after your none the wiser their father and uncle always said. "I will face challenges being a petite and single women. I already set it up with the same car service that the family uses. However, when I was out with James last week and assaulted, I realized I will need more protection. I want to be more discreet. Do you have any new employees that can be trusted only know by the security staff?" She asked.

"As a matter of fact, I have three new people signed on just last week. I can easily have them rotate working on the new security monitoring with asking as personal security for you. Putting them together as a team would work out great. This was they have time off while the others are covering, but also have variety so the day to day does not get to them."

"That would work perfectly. I won't need security when I am in the building so they could be training with the others or monitoring and helping to implement those changes discussed yesterday. Please have they keep track of the hours when they are working for me outside of work hours so that I am billed separately from the company." Katie helps up her hand to halt their argument. "This is not just me waiting to pay for my own security, but also to be transparent in case it comes to light. I do not want anyone claiming I am using company resources for me own personal benefit." Ryan and Liam accepted that reasoning.

"Can you please ask Adian to have my personal/business calendar he created for me available to them in addition to the family? I am going to be looking at options for personal assistances with HR and a secretary who will be added later, but for now I do not have too much outside of the office going on." Katie stood and hugged her from and cousin who seemed pleased she was taking her safety seriously. "I'm on my way to HR now just to pop in and say hello to everyone and ask if they wanted to join me for lunch before a meeting with the main HR team." Liam halted her before she reached the door. "I think it would be a good idea for you to also spend a few hours a week with security in training to protect yourself"

"Great idea Liam, I was going to bring it up at a later date myself." Ryan agreed.

Katie through about it for a moment, "sure, I would love to be able to stand my ground. Who knows, maybe I might be able to take you guys down some day" she said slipping out the door laughing.
