The next morning Nora and Katie left with their driver to go to K's Place. It was a good size Nora noted. "Aren't you worried about break ins with all the glass in the front and a glass door." Nora asked causally. This was a shelter for the lack of a better term and she was worried about people breaking in to get to the residence and the resources like food and cloths.

"I know it may look unsafe in this area. As you can see there is privacy films of the glass and doors allowing light to come in, but not leaving the occupants exposed. All the windows and the front glass door are bullet proof. The door has heavily reinforced sides that you would need a battering ram to get through. It might be a bit much, but I wanted the place to be open, investing, but safe." Katie explained. Being fully aware that it was bound to happen that a violent person came through or came looking to get their family or spouse back. Katie took as much precaution as she could.

The inspector gave his last stamp of approval just as the Willis's walked in. Together they all toured the place. It was simple and yet had everything that was needed. The downstairs had a couple of computers like a library, several sofa's, couches, chairs with washable coverings on them for easy cleaning. A bookshelf full of books, board games, papers and pencils crayons and coloring books. The kitchen was large and set up like a school kitchen and cafeteria with a separate pantry that could be locked. It also had a room with a half wall with a couple of washers/dryer combo units. Future down the hall were some locked rooms for offices. A storage room with blankets and cloths/shoes for all sizes including socks, underwear, PJ's, hats, coats, etc. Upstairs there were three large rooms, one was marked Men's Section that had ten beds throughout the large place with good separation between them. It had a wall of books from GED study guides, trade study guides, resume and interviewing guides to things like basic banking, etc. Each bed was made with a couple of blankets, a pillow with a wooden chest at the foot of the bed with a number pad lock. On the on was a reusable drawstring bag with a number on it. The number matched the number bunk. It would be used to store cloths for washing to make sure the correct person got it back. The bathrooms were the same as the down stairs like a school lockers room. The even had large containers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash full and ready for use. The Women's Section rooms was a mirror image of the Men's Section. The Family Room was the same with the addition of kids books of all ages, high school study aids, toys for younger kids with a mix of a few larger size beds for the families that wanted to stay close. Nora thought that was smart. A parent with her young kid(s) would want to hold them at night just to feel them close. It could even accommodate a couple of kids with the parent in the bed next to them.

He building had a new HVAC system in the building, insulated walls, several on demand hot water heaters, and upgraded electrical and plumbing system to accommodate the number of people who would be living there. Her daughter even had solar panels on the roof to keep the overall cost down, but unsure that in the extreme weather the residence would be comfortable.

"Wow this is amazing Kathleen. It is simple, but has all that is needed to he a safe place for people of all ages or family dynamics." Denna spoke up happy to see the results. She, husband and daughter have been helping out, but seeing the finished results was truly amazing.

"There is one more space I wanted to show you all" Katie said taking them to a door just off the main entrance of the first floor. This was for security with a studio apartment in it. It would be where the guards for the building would primarily be. It had a kitchenet, two twin beds, a sofa, TV and one wall of full of security monitors showing the main floor, upstairs (hallways only) and the outside of the building. I had my cousin Ryan's company install all the security.
