If you could chose one person to be with for just 5 minutes who would it be? If you only had 5 minutes left to live and could spend it with whoever you wanted then who would it be?
It's a hard choice isn't it?
My answer isn't a hard one. I'd spend it with Bennett.
Not because he's my boyfriend or that he's the love of my life, but he'd make me forget I was dying. Make me happy and my last moments would be bliss.
I could trust him to not be sad for me. I could rely on him to make my moments happy.
He held my heart in the palm of his hand and I had full and complete trust that he wouldn't drop it or crush it.
That's love.
You may say I know nothing of love or it's too soon to love him, but if you spend every day with someone for weeks you'll know them. You grow to care and then you love them.
Truly and deeply.
So yes I know what love is and I'm not a fool.
I know it may not last, but for now I'm going to bask in the glow because it's pretty damn amazing.
This all ran through my head as I stared at Bennett's sleeping face, lit up by the early morning sunlight. Every divet and pore visible to my eyes only. His plump lips dried out, but still kissable. Bare chest under my body. Our hot skin touching and every movement sending tingles down my spine.
He's perfect.
"Bennett." I whisper and his eyes open so slowly and sweetly my heart melts.
"Yes beautiful?" He asks, dark eyes watching me intently.
"I think you might want to get clothes on. My brothers won't like finding us like this and they'll be in here since Nick is leaving today." I state and his eyes widen.
"What time is it?" He asks, jumping up with a start.
"It's only 6. We have time to sleep more. They won't be up for an hour or two." I murmur before leaning in and kissing down his neck.
Just forget what I said.
"Hayden we have.... To stop." He says between big shakes breaths.
Gotcha.
I take one last tentative kiss on his most sensitive spot which makes him freeze then I linger for a moment before nipping his skin and it's done.
He's come undone.
I giggle in happiness as Bennett transforms into the insatiable sexual monster that he is and ravages my body.
Oh god.
-------------
Later that day after Bennett and I had finally gotten out of bed it was time to drive Nick and Darin to the airport.
My big brother is leaving me. My best friend is leaving.
What do I do?
"Hayden? Can we talk?" Darin asks, pulling me from my thoughts.
I look up at him and see the pain in his eyes. I nod, a little unsure. "Ok." I murmur and he motions for me to follow him.
