"Hayden! Come on! Talk to me! Please." Someone shouts from behind my door successfully waking me up.
Who the hell is it? Can't I get one fucking hour alone?
I groans & stuff my head under a pillow, pressing down on it to block out the person.
"Please! Come on! You need to talk to someone." He shouts & I sigh.
The mother fucker doesn't get the hint, does he?
Rolling my eyes I get out of bed & stomp to the door. I angrily open the door, glaring at the person.
"Yes?" I ask irritatedly.
He sighs. "Are you ok? I mean that wasn't really expected. To see the guy you love fighting with your ex. It's a lot." Tyler says & he runs a hand through his hair.
I sigh & look at him.
Something changed & now I feel sad again. I guess it's just everything with Mason, Bennett, Darin, & the fight.
"No ok? It sucks & seeing them like that messed with me, bad. I never wanted to see either of them hurt. I just wish I would've handled it better. Maybe I could be stopped them if I hadn't been standing there like a complete idiot." I say & I frown thinking about it.
They were just so ruthless & terrible. I didn't know Darin could be that way or Bennett. I never want to see that again.
Tyler nods & pulls me to him, hugging me. "It's not your fault." He says.
"But if I hadn't been yelling they never would've turned on each other. I triggered Bennett's anger & he directed it at Darin. It's completely my fault." I say & I snuggle to him.
I'll never get tired of being in his arms. He so warm & sturdy. It makes me feel so safe.
"They're teenage guys. They run on testosterone & angry thoughts. You didn't make them hit each other. Don't worry about it. Nick, Caden, & Mark are straightening them out. Do you want to come tell them how you feel?" He asks & he pulls back to look at my eyes.
He look sympathetic & caring.
I smile slightly & nod.
"Let's go then." I say & he grins.
--------I walk into the kitchen confidently. Darin is sitting across from Bennett with Nick to his left. Bennett has Mark on his right side. Caden is at the head of the table & he seems to be giving a speech or something.
Tyler and I hang back waiting for Caden to finish before we go in & I stand at the counter.
Darin keeps looking at me every few minutes, but Bennett flat out ignores me.
Freaking great. He's mad.
It's silent for a few consecutive moments so I walk over next to my brother. He glances at me with a questioning look & I nod.
I clear my throat & look to both of the guys. Bennett's pissed and glaring at Darin, but Darin is more concerned with me than him.
"Why did you guys do hat?" I ask.
Bennett sighs. "He can't just say shit to me & expect to not have retaliation. Isn't it enough that we are even giving him a place to sleep? If he won't respect me then I'm not putting up with his childish bullshit. I'm 18 years old for fucks sake." He says angrily.
He has a point.
"Well, Darin?" I ask.
"He was yelling at you & you were pretty upset. It's didn't want you to get hurt. Then he had the nerve to touch me so something snapped. I feel pretty bad about it." He says, but his apology is triggered towards me.
