"Mason?" I ask as we lay under the stars, still in the backyard. I don't know how long it'd been. An hour? Two?
"Yeah?" He asks.
"Did you hear me talking to Tyler earlier?" I ask.
"No, why?" He asks confused and he sits up, looking at me from my place on the ground.
"Nothing. I just wanted to know. We talked about some personal things & he isn't mad at me anymore. I just wanted to know if you heard because I was going to tell you not to tell anyone. That's all." I say and sigh in relief.
"Oh. Ok. I'm glad you two are ok." He mumbles and lays back down next to me.
Suddenly the nice quiet night is interrupted.
"Guys! We bought Chinese if you're still hungry!" Mark calls from the window
Mason smiles at me and stands up holding his hand out for me. "Come on." He says and I take his hand, smiling.
"I hope they got chicken and broccoli!" I say excitedly.
Yes We did have dinner with his parents, but thinking he was going to break up with me stressed me out and I'm hungry again. It has been almost 3 hours since we ate.
"So do you want to maybe do something tomorrow?" Mason asks as we walk in the kitchen.
"Um. I can't. I was planning on doing something with my brother. Rain check?" I ask, guiltily.
He chuckles. "Of course. I mean I have spent practically the whole weekend with you. I'm sure my mom misses me." He says.
I laugh. "Oh I'm sure she does. How could she not?" I say.
He laughs too and we grab plates.
I'm so happy that they got chicken and broccoli! I grin and load up on it. I just can't get enough.
"Hey slow down there." Zack cautions while he gets his own food.
I stick my tongue out at him. "I love this stuff. I'm gonna eat it all." I say and scoop even more on my plate.
He chuckles and walks into the living room withh his own food & after grabbing a dr. pepper i follow him.
I sit beside Jackson and shortly after Mason comes in and sits at my other side.
"So How'd dinner go guys?" Mark asks & he shovels rice into his mouth.
"It was.." I glance at Mason and he gives me a look. "Good, I think. Do you think they liked me, Mason?" I ask, unsure.
He nods. "They loved you." He says & he stuffs his face with an egg roll.
My nose crinkles a little.
Ew. Does he really have to eat that way? It's so caveman like.
"Well that's good." Mark comments & I nod.
"So how was your guys' evening?" I ask.
Jackson, Zach, & Bennett share a look.
"Umm. It was pretty uneventful." Jackson says.
"Yeah. It was boring. Nothing happened." Zack says.
I roll my eyes at them.
Yeah nothing happened. Totally.
"Ok. If you don't want to tell me whatever. I'll just ask my brother when he gets back." I say and I continue to eat my food.
Mark clears his throat and I look at him. He shakes his head and I furrow my eyebrows.
