It took me more time than usual to reach home, since I was carrying Arth in my arms.

As soon as I entered the building, my landlady appeared.
"Who's this kid? I thought you said that you're single." She said.

"Well, I'm still single. He's not my child, he's a friend's son. She was busy today, so I am going to take care of him." I replied.

She gave me a nod and I quickly rushed to my home, not wanting more questions.

Actually I can't let her know that I work for a man, because she's a bit orthodox, hence I had to tell that my friend was a female.

I opened the lock and went inside.
I quickly made Arth sleep on the bed and locked the door.

I then quickly freshened up and changed into some comfortable clothes.

I then went to kitchen to find something that he may eat, but to be very honest, I couldn't think of anything.

So I waited for him to wake up, so I can ask and prepare it.

I sat on the chair and scrolled through the social media, trying to get updated about all the latest trends.

Finding nothing interesting, I closed the applications and that's when I saw the date today.

It's Ria's wedding after three days.
And she hasn't even callled me to come to the wedding.
Not like she has checked on me since the time I came here.

I know that she might've tried, but I also know how manipulative her boyfriend is.
So yeah, I'm not feeling that bad about it.

All of a sudden I felt my eyes getting watery and it made me realize, that yes, it does matter to me, how can it not?
She's my best friend.

I was about to have a literal breakdown when I saw that Arth was waking up.
After a minute or so, he was wide awake.

"So jr. Malhotra, did you sleep well?" I asked.

"I did!" He said with excitement, "But I want to sleep again." He said and was about to lie down again but I stopped him.

"No... You first need to have dinner then you can sleep again." I said and he shook his head in a yes.

"So what do you want to have?" I asked.

He thought for a long time before he said, "That thing that I ate from your tiffin that time." He said and it took me a lot of time to realize what he actually meant.

"You mean to say that you want to have dal-chawal now?" I asked with surprise.

"Yes, it was really tasty." He said.

"Ok then, I'll cook it for you. Why don't you watch my mobile till that time?" I said and he shook his head vigorously in agreement.

I smiled at his antics, before going to kitchen to prepare the dal-chawal.

I can't believe that he wanted to eat something as simple as this.
I mean I thought being born so rich, he would've been eating fancy stuff, but I guess not.

Within half an hour, I finished preparing the dinner.
Then we both had it along with all the talks that he wanted to have.

Afterwards I cleared up kitchen and was finally done for day.
"Jr. Malhotra, you sleep on the bed, I'll sleep here on the floor." I said as I took the blankets and placed them on the floor.
