I was finally discharged from the hospital yesterday. The doctor did give me a whole lecture about not taking stress, but my mind was too occupied to actually understand any of it.

At nearly 1:30 in the morning, my lawyer, Samay Shah, texted me saying that he has officially received court's document that a case has been filed against me for the custody of Arth.

So far, he is trying to keep the media and everything out of it, but we're not sure how long it can be done, so I need to win this case as soon as possible.

Taking all of this in consideration, he informed me that he has a plan ready and he would discuss it with me today.

So right now, I'm driving to his place to listen to his plan.
I did drop a text to Adhira that the meetings for today need to be postponed, but I guess I will need to call her, since she has her network switched off.

I dialled the phone through the feature in the car. It had two rings until she picked up.

"Hello. Good Morning Sir." She wished, picking up the phone.

"Good Morning Adhira. Where are you right now?" I asked.

"I'm at home right now. I'll leave within twenty minutes for the office." She replied.

"Ok, so you haven't checked your phone yet?" I asked.

"No... Wait a minute, did you send something to me?" She asked.

"Yes I did. Now listen, you need to postpone all meetings for today, and the rest of week." I said.

"But why sir? Is everything alright? Are you fine?" She started bombarding me with questions, but it made me feel very different, that someone except my mom is worried for me.

"I'm fine. Just some personal work." I replied.

"Bu---" She was about to say but I cut her off.

"No more questions. Have a good day."

"Ok, got it. Bye." She said and hung up.

She's sweet.

I finally reached Sam's house and we both sat down in his office.

He spread out all the documents in front of me that he had found out from various places.

I sat and read all of them, before asking, "So... She has accused me of stealing her child and not allowing her to meet him. How is that possible?"

"Well, because we had to stop your previous case from being a public entertainment, we hid down all the information related to that time." He said.

"So? What can we do now?" I asked, getting anxious.

"We'll bring all the evidence back and then it can be proved that you all have legally seperated. We'll need to find copy of the divorce papers, and then all the charges will be put down." He replied.

"But?" I asked, very well knowing that nothing in my life can be achieved without stress.

"But she'll have more chances of getting custody considering... You know." He said and I shook my head in agreement.

"We can try and power up the case by stating everything, but to gain the custody, you need to get married." He said, as if it was something easy.

"What? Are you crazy? This is what you planned?" I asked as I rubbed my face calming down the anxiety.

"Ritvik, calm down." He said, handing me a glass of water.

"See, you need to get married so that we can say in the court that you can provide him a stable family, because you know, she has a husband and it would be considered more stable environment than a single dad." He stated.

I took a deep breath before falling back on the couch.
"Why it happens to me Sam? Was loving someone so bad?" I asked him as I remembered all my past.

"Ritvik, so far this is the only way. She has manipulated the court in such a way that the dates are so early that no other plan can work in it." He said.

"Hmm... Marriage, fine. I'll try to find someone and get married soon." I said as I got up from the chair.

"Not any marriage. You need to stay married for about an year following your marriage. You won't be able to get a dicorce in six months like it normally is." He said.

Not knowing how to react, I just gave him a nod and left.

Adhira

This boss of mine is frustrating me to no limits.
He already was in hospital for two days because of which he didn't come to office and even today he is not coming to office.

Because he wasn't there, I had to make sure people do everything perfect, because everyone was literally hogging around lazily.
But since they already hate me for some reason, and now I was actually bossing them, they started hating me more.

Apart from this, I actually enjoyed spending time with Arth.
He makes me believe that life is actually fun. I feel sorry for him that he doesn't have a mother. I'm sure, he would've been the best son to her.

Anyways, now I'm having my breakfast and I'm missing him. We had breakfast together for the past two days he was living with me and the way I laughed so much, was just so overwhelming.

I quickly completed everything and went to the office.

In the office, people were like the way they were in the two days. Working very slowly, having zero interest in doing whatever they are supposed to.

I mean, I get that working everyday 9-6 is a tiring thing, but that is what they ahad committed to.

I mean, even I'm just an employee but being sir's personal assistant I've seen that he works really hard just to keep this company where is it is, so I feel it is important that no one sabotages it.

After giving a literal lecture about it, I finally went to my cabin.
I sat down on the chair and immediately started with my work for the day.

As Sir said, I shifted all the meetings scheduled for the next week.

I was so busy working that I hadn't noticed that Sir had come until he called me to his cabin.

I went to his cabin and informed him all his schedule but I don't think he listened to any of it.
He had his face covered with his hands and he appeared very stressed.

"Sir, are you alright? Is something bothering you?" I asked.

He looked at me for a second before again going back to his stressed mood.

"Can I do something to help you?" I asked him with concern.

He took a minute before saying, "Can you marry me Adhira?"
