Two years later
Adhira
It's been two years.
Two years since I got married, two years since I finally became happy.I have felt so much happiness in these two years than I did in the whole lifetime before it. all because of Ritvik.
Oh Ritvik.
The love of my life.
It may sound cliche, but it is the truth. He is indeed the love that was missing in my life. I can't even tell all the things he has done so that he can make up for the things that I missed out.
He has actually fixed everything that he didn't even break.Currently, I'm getting ready in my room, because today is my Best friend's wedding.
Not Ria, she has got married way before, I'm talking about Tara.Yes, Tara and I are now indeed best friends.
And she is getting married to Sam, Ritvik's brother cum best friend cum lawyer. We don't know when it happened, we just realised it when we saw that his visits to our house had started to become more frequent.
And as I say this, yes, Tara is living with us. As my sister, as Arth's masi. In these two years, not once she claimed any right on him for being his biological mother. She was happy just being his Masi.
Coming back, Ritvik once spotted them, talking very secretly in the garden. Then he confonted them, they told us the truth and here we are today.
They both are getting married.I finished my makeup, and was looking at my reflection in the mirror when I heard someone.
"Oh my god! I'm gonna have a heart attack!" I turned around, to see Ritvik holding his chest.
"What happened? Are you alright? Shall I call a doctor?" I asked, panicking a little.
"Your beauty has made my heartbeat stop!" He said, and that's when I realized it.
"You... You scared me." I said, and he chuckled in response.
"Jokes apart, you're looking really beautiful." He said, pulling me towards him, his arms wrapped around my waist.
"Thank you, even you're looking handsome!" I said and he smiled in response, before pecking my forehead.
"So, all ready?" He asked.
"I am, but I don't know about Arth. He went outside but didn't come back till now." I informed.
"Well, he's with Sam, and he'll be with him till we finish the wedding." He said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, Arth wanted to dance in the Baraat, so Sam said that now he is from his side and took him with himself." He replied.
"So, shall we go?" I asked and he nodded with a smile.
We were about to go when all of a sudden Tara came in front of us.
"Tara... What are you doing here? You need to be in your room and come out only when the priest calls you." I said.
She didn't reply, just bent down to touch our feet. In response, we both stepped back.
"What are you doing? I'm younger than you." I said, and looked at Ritvik.
"I might be older, but still there's no reason for you to touch our feet." He said.
She looked at me as she said, "You might be younger than me in age, but you're greater than me in every aspect."
"I'm here to thank you both. If not for you, I would've been still in that sorry excuse of a house I was living in. If not for you, I don't know if I would've been even alive or not." She said, tears pooling in her eyes.
"Don't. Don't cry, dear!" I said wiping her tears.
"The bride should be the prettiest one in her wedding, don't ruin the makeup." Ritvik joked, making us all giggle in response.
"Still guys, a big Thank you. After what all I had done, I didn't even thought that you would forgive me, but you did. Thank you." Saying so, she hugged me.
I hugged her back as I said, "Enough now, don't bring back old memories that would destroy this happy one which is going to take place."
"Yes Tara, we forgave you long back. We even forgot it, even you forget it and live your future happily." He said, giving a friendly hug to Tara.
Then she went back to her room, while we went to the garden, where marriage was talking place.
Then began the wedding, both Sam and Tara came to the aisle, the priest chanted the mantras, and finally they were a married couple.
It was time for throwing flower petals on the newly wed, which is a custom. We were doing that when Ritvik whispered, "They look so happy!"
"Yes, they do." I replied, looking at them.
"Do you wanna get married again?" He asked me.
"I'm sorry, what?" I asked, surprised.
"I am asking do you want to get married again, like this, in a traditional ceremony?" He clarified.
As he said those words, I suddenly realized that how we got married. We didn't have this grand type wedding, and I never felt like it until he brought it up now.
"But why so sudden?" I asked.
"When we got married, we didn't knew that we'll be together forever, like we are now, so we did that marriage, but now that we are clear about it, shouldn't we do something like this?" He said, and it actually made sense.
"That's true..." I said, "but maybe should talk about it to Arth and mom first, then we can decide."
He replied with a quick nod before we began with the photo clicking and everything.During the time when they had to leave, Tara cried a lot while hugging me and mom. Indeed she was like my sister now.
After that all the people left, only me and Ritvik were remaining to see what all is left.
"So, will you marry me again?" He asked.
"Ritvik, I just told you..." I was about to reason but he cut me off.
"I know. I asked mom and she has agreed, and Arth agrees to everything that mom says, so..." He said excitedly.
"We are getting married again?" I asked with an unsure tone.
"Yes, we are getting married again, traditionally." He said, specifically highlighting traditionally in his voice.
