Two days later

Adhira

It's been two days since I got married and both Sir and Mom are trying their best to make me feel comfortable.

I never knew that rich people will be so good at heart, but I guess they have proved me wrong.

Finishing my night routine, I went out of the bathroom to see Sir busy on a phone call.
Deciding not to disturb him, I quietly went and sat on the bed scrolling through my phone.

I was busy checking out some pictures when I heard him shout, "What the hell!"

I turned and before I could understand anything, a phone hit my forehead.
My palm involuntary went to my forehead, pressing it.

"Oh my god! Sorry!" He said as he came near me.

"Wait, let me see..." He said removing my hand and checking out the area which was a little swollen.
"I'm so sorry Adhira. I didn't realize that you were here." He apologised.

"No problem. You didn't do it intentionally." I replied, rubbing my forehead.

"But you got hurt... I'm so sorry. Wait, I'll get you first aid." He said and stood up.

"Wait!" I said, holding his wrist.

He immediately stopped and looked at me.
"I'm fine sir. Really!" I said.

"Are you sure?" He asked me again.

"Yes, I'm sure." I said and he gave me a weak smile.
"Now sit here and tell me, what happened?" I asked, making him sit on the bed.

"Nothing..." He tried to avoid, but I knew something is bothering him.

"I wouldn't have received a flying phone on my head it would've been nothing." I said, shrugging my shoulders.

"I'm really sorry for that." He apologised again.

"Then tell me what's the matter?" I asked, because for some reason, I don't like him all stressed out.

"This Tara Sehgal is driving me crazy!" He finally said.

"Who's Tara Sehgal?" I asked with confusion.

"My ex-wife." He murmured.

"What did she do?" I asked.

"She took the case back. We were supposed to have a court hearing day after tomorrow, and now she's just gone." He said and I looked at him with disappointed expression.

"Shouldn't you be happy that now she's not taking a case against you?" I asked.

"Yeah, but then what about Arth's custody? And our marriage which had that as the sole reason?" He asked.

"I guess stress has really made your brain lose the capacity to think." I replied.

"Excuse me?" He said, clearly offended.

"What I'm trying to say is, you can apply for custody even now when there's no case for it, plus we're already married so you have a fair reason for custody. And to top it up, now that you don't have a case against you, you'll get the custody more early!" I replied, and by each passing word, the smile on his face gre bigger and bigger.
