✩ 𝐈 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔, 𝐈'𝐌 𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐘chapter thirty nine — to make up for last time
"What the fuck!" I cursed as I stepped down on my pedal to try and make up for the lost time, even the three-seater cars had got ahead of me, this was ridiculous.
It seemed that the single cars were faster which gave me enough leeway to speed past them both and now it was only Conrad who was ahead of me. I sped under the tunnel as drifted to cut a corner and gain speed on him until we were next to one another. Our cars bumped into one another making him whip his head with a confused look.
I grinned innocently as I gained enough speed to overtake him before raising my middle finger and flipping him off. I heard him curse under his breath as he tried to catch up.
"You better watch out Liv!"
"Eat my fucking dust dipshit!"
At this point, the other six had been forgotten and this race was between Conrad and me; it seemed to be a common theme throughout the day, me against Conrad. Another lap had passed as we were on the last corner he once again was by my side and I couldn't seem to shake him off. The flag was in sight as we both crossed the finish line at the same time, I quickly stopped my car and stood up looking at Skye and Cooper.
"That was me right?" I questioned as I jumped out of the car and rushed over to them, as did Conrad in anticipation.
"Sorry Liv, Conrad passed through first," Skye spoke with a disheartened tone.
My heart dropped as I heard him let out a cheer, "No fair, he cheated! He threw me off!" I couldn't help the disappointment that fell on my face, as I tried to change the judge's mind.
"How?" I thought about what he had said and that's when I realised I didn't want to repeat what he had said leaving me to look stupid for trying to accuse him of cheating. I huffed with my arms crossed as Conrad started dancing around me with excitement before leaning closer to my ear.
"Told you I'd win," He had a smug look on his face as he ruffled up my hair before running off to the boys.
"You were really close," Kath reassured.
"Not close enough," I sighed as we all headed out of the arena.
We decided to go in the gift shop because the boys claimed they couldn't think of a punishment but I knew that meant they were thinking of something even worse. We were all looking around until Conrad came up to me along with his little group of boys.
"It's time," He smirked, "The Tower of Terror awaits," he gestured for me to step outside.
I looked outside where I could see the ride whizzing up and down, people screaming as it did. Just looking at it made me feel sick but I couldn't go back on my word.
