Chapter 9

"Nicole! Patulong naman dito oh." Nakasimangot na sabi nito sa akin habang sobrang abala na nito sa kanyang plate na sobrand due na pero napagbigyan ng prof namin dahil sa aksidenteng nangyari kahapon. Gusto ko man tulungan si Chris ay hindi ko magawa sa ngayon dahil hindi lamang school activities ginagawa ko, pati pag handle ng mga project proposals sa student council ay gawain ko din.

"Chris! Can you please wait? Busy rin ako. Next time kasi mag-ingat ka." Sagot ko dito habang abala din sa sketches na pinapagawa ng isa pa naming prof. Tapos lalagyan ko pa iyon ng mga kaunting description kapag nakatapos ako sa drawing.

"Pinuntahan ko nga kasi si Elizabeth. Sumisilip lang. Pampaganda ng araw ko." Sambit pa niya at napailing ako habang patuloy sa aking ginagawa dahil talagang gusto niyang ipaglaban ang kanyang sarili. Pero mali pa nga din kasi 'yung desisyon niyang iyon. Kung hindi pa siya umikot kung saan-saan eh di sana hindi na siya nahihirapan ngayon.

"Hindi pa inunang magpasa. Hay nako, ewan ko talaga sa'yo Chris." Pero imbes na makinig sa akin si Chris ay kinuha pa niya ang kanyang cellphone at panay ang pindot doon. Siguro nagpadala na naman ito ng mensahe. Nabanggit niya kasi sa akin na mayroon na siyang number ng crush niya.

"F*cking shet!" I heard someone shouted from the corridor and I caught a glimpse of a familiar nurse. She was Sadie, the one who tore the plate of Chris. I actually know her since she's the first girlfriend of Cyril during our high school days, but we never had an interaction so we're not close nor acquinted.

"Sino 'yon?" Tanong sa akin ni Chris matapos niya rin kung sino 'yung sumigaw na iyon pero hindi niya na nakita. Mabuti na lamang din at hindi niya nakita dahil malamang pagtutuonan na naman ni Chris 'yung babaeng iyon ng galit.

"Just a stranger that I find it amusing." I said with a smirk. To be honest, I'm looking forward for their further interaction. The two can click once they have a truce because of their almost-same personality. Good thing Chris never minded my answer and continued with his work, but unfortunately he can't seem to focus because he keeps on looking on his phone.

Probably this is one of the reasons why I don't want to have a relationship with someone because I get easily distracted. Ang dami ko na nga rin siguro pinoproblema tapos kapag isinama mo pa ang love life mas lalo lamang gugulo utak ko kapag ganoon.

"Chris, I'll just go to the restroom for a while." I said to him and he nodded while focusing on his works. When I got his response, I stood from the chair and walked outside the classroom. However, I saw someone checking another someone. I looked at the two nurse who were now walking away from our department and then go back to him.

"I can see in my peripheral vision that you're being mesmerized with my charm." He suddenly blurted and I rolled my eyes due to his unpredictable pride. Naalala ko rin bigla na nagkasundo na kami na magpansinan sa tuwing may pagkakataon na nagkakitaan kami.

"Never thought you have a liking to nursing students." I said and he began to look at me with a smirk while his hands are tucked on his pockets. For a short time, I scanned his outfit. He's wearing a white long sleeved polo, layered with a dark blue vest and an off-white trousers as his bottom. He looks like an innocent boy here--but I like it.

"Well you can't blame me. Most nursing students are hot and beautiful. And the way their uniform are crafted made their curves stand out the most." He said, biting his bottom lip while checking out the nurses--most especially Sadie. This guy is definitely sexualizing them. I should really help him change that attitude.

"That Sadie is the first girlfriend of Cyril. I think she's very cheerful and charming." I said while also looking at them walking away until they are gone of sight. Once I see them gone, I decided to walk away from him so that I could go to the restroom, but he followed and walked with me.
